Hey guys,

Just wondering who I should keep out of Palmer and Fyfe? Fyfe looks a better player and has better JS but Palmer seems to rack up the ball whenever he's on. I want to downgrade the other to Curnow.

Cheers for any help

Palmer seems to be out of favor with Harvey so I'd stick with Fyfe.

Keep Fyfe! Palmer's ceiling for improvement is much higher, but job security is a big, big issue.

Lads just a quick one, I picked up Pitt at the start of the year after I saw that Michie didn't get a game, now I am wondering about his job security, do you guys think that he will play a majority of the games this season or that he will be rested/dropped quite often? The response I get will decide whether I go to Tapscott for him or not

I wouldn't think twice before pulling the trigger on Tapscott.

I have Broughton in my team and his scores have been a little below where i expected them to be. He is a similar value to Enright. Should I keep the faith in him or make the move now?

Guys, what is the take on Suban this year? His average thus far is pretty handy, is he playing a more of a midfield role with Morabito out for the year?

Looking at options in the mid-price range to offload Andrejs Everitt.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsu:

Anyone up for the Subo challenge?

Suban is rotating through the midfield but has been mostly out of the back pocket/half back line. He's not going to be a great DTer. May knock out around 70-75 for the year. You should be able to get a rookie to score that for you and make more cash really.

Personally, I'd stick with him.

Ibbotson and Silvagni will return in the next couple of weeks which will give Broughton more freedom to attack than he has at the moment. It will hopefully allow him to spend some time on-ball just like in the pre-season as well.

By mid season Hayden and Mzungu will be back as well which will help him out even further.

why did Lower get subbed last weekend?? is this going to be an ongoing issue??

named as a starting follower this week....

Lower played pretty poorly last week, Palmer was the substitute and it was just a like-for-like change. I doubt it will be an ongoing issue - as long as he is playing well - Harvey has stated that he won't be using the same player as the sub each and every week because their fitness/conditioning would fall away.

Thanks chief, much obliged!

Hi guys,

Can I ask for some info on Jayden Pitt? Is there anyone coming back to take back their place in the team? Will he get my further games throughout the year?

If he manages to keep churning out games like he did last week, i can't see him being dropped. although could appear on the bench/sub/emergency if his endurance duing the year isn't up to scratch. Can't fault his skill and effeciency at the mo.

Hard to say if Barlow/Mzungu/Ibbotson coming back will push him out of the 22. I have a feeling others will go before Pitt will. Only his fitness/injury could make him miss the squad.

I will give my 2 cents on a few questions (without directly quoting).

Suban
We all had him as a future star and quite a few see him as a go to player when possible as his skills are excellent. He was almost a fringe player last year at times, some calling for him to go back to the WAFL. He rarely misses targets. His role seemed to shift and he was down on confidence it seemed as he came in and out of matches. He has been declared a potential future captain showing his work ethic and respect. This year it seems he has turned that corner getting more possessions and going a bit harder (he has always shown good endeavour). The potential is there in the early part of the season to rack up some good scores with Mora, Barlow, Hayden, Mzungu all out. I would hold if I had him.

Pitt
Cash cow. He will get games early and will probably play around 10 games for the year. With players coming back he will struggle to fit in. Make some cash and then sell. He will be a good player, he is just not quite ready with size etc cement a spot IMO.

Lower
Good backup player. He is a good emergency player. Will play most games this year and looks like a keeper. Keep and eye on him as he may be a starter. I have him and will hold him as a player to come in for byes etc.

Palmer
I have him DT (would not touch for SC). He worked so hard in the pre-season and had some nice articles written. He can find the footy however he has no confidence at the moment and seems to doubt himself. I am tentatively holding him, and see how he goes this week. He has good potential for DT. One solid game could be the turning point. He is on the fringe for his decision making. He makes costly mistakes, however he also does the hard work to feed his team mates. If he played for another team I would have probably traded him, however I have a gut feeling he is going to bust out soon and get back to his best.

Fyfe
I have picked him up in both DT and SC. He is our universal mid. He finds the footy, players look to give it to him. He kicks goals, he tackles. He takes contested marks, and gets contested clearances. There is nothing this kid cannot do.

Picking Fyfe at the start of the year was the best thing I ever did.

I know this has been touched on, but would you guys expect Suban's role and thus scores to change (DT) once players like Barlow, Mora and Mzungu return? Looking for a downgrade target for the disappointing Cam Bruce and tossing up between him, Adcock and Suckling.

Cheers

It is a hard question. Mora won't be back this year and may not make it back until the end of the year (if at all). Mzungu and Hayden will have roles in defence.

Suban's role seems to change a bit. However if he continues to get into games he will continue to score well as he such a good user of the footy on most occasions that he will be link up player. He always does well in tackles as well.

I would expect him to score as average of 85 points throughout the season. I would like him to average 100 points as it will indicate we are travelling pretty well!

Adcock will definately score big scores over the year, however he is injury prone. Suckling could be a good option - who knows. He has not stayed on the park enough to make proper judgement on IMO.

In DT only, is it worth downgrading Broughton to Suban for the sake of $70k?

If I make this trade its a season long one, so the question i need answered is will both players score about the same, or will Broughton pick up over the following weeks as more stock comes back in.

You would be kicking yourself later on if you did this!

Once SNOS comes back Broughton should be free to rotate through the midfield and play a more attacking role out of defence - will rack up the scores then.

I'm sure you'll be able to find 70k quite easily in the next few weeks as your cash cows increase, without burning a trade now :thumbsu:

Lower had 5 FA that might have had something to do with it, that being said he was pretty stiff to get dropped.

The other possible reason for the change is getting another defender in the team so they can push Broughton up the ground, maybe Broughton is going to play Lower's inside role?
