Does anyone still have even a smidgeon of respect for Carlton?

Not exactly Weareoveratedagain, Hawthorn and Kangaroos trade negotiations were going nowhere at the time and there was a good chance Rawlings would have gone in to the pre-season draft anyway. Hawthorn were winners, getting their man Jacobs for the loss of the infamous Veale. Essendon got Alvey and Kepler Bradeley. We lost out with a fading, inconsistent Rawlings rightfully getting traded to North. Either way there was nothing we did was against AFL rules, unlike salary cap breaches.

The Western Bulldogs traded pick 6 to Essendon and made an arrangement with Hawthorn not to trade Rawlings to the kangaroos so the scumdogs could pick him up in the draft. What a surprise it didn't turn out well. Basically you picked up an unwilling player for pick 6 when you could have had that pick in the draft

I guess the scumdogs deserved to lose after tampering with the draft

If this is not tampering then

Still haven't seen any explanation as to why Carltank lost any 1 of 5 games that would have lost them their priority pick last year.

Without reading through the entire thread, by insinuating we tanked, your making the assumption that we could have won the games had we wished to.

What tripe. There's a reason why we've been the least successful club since 2001. We simply didn't have the cattle to win games.

I don't doubt that once our season was done and dusted, the club didn't do everything it could to win the remaining few games (though I vehemently refuse to believe that the players intentionally lost games of football).

Those same accusations of tanking can be leveled against any club in a situation similar to ours. Show me a list of all the clubs who have won a game in the last few rounds which would have cost them a priority pick before round 1, and I'll show you an empty list.

Had it been anyone of the 13 clubs above Carlton that the Demons encountered in round 22 last year, I've no doubt they would've lost. Only one club could 'win' that match, and Carlton did.

I cry myself to sleep each night thinking we could have had Kepler Bradley.

What part of Hawthorn and North's negotiations were going nowhere does not seep in through your miniscule brain.

For the sheer hypocrisy of a Carltank supporter saying that we deserve to lose after draft tampering, an equivalent justice for you would be Judd's career ending in the pre-season. :)

Melbourne cost themselves a priority pick y winning that game.

Just face it, your club is a ****ing joke, you cheat, tank and poach and you're still massively shit. Haven't even finished within the top 10 in 7 years. Have not won a single genuine premiership. That is truly a pathetic effort.

If negotiations were going nowhere why did the scum from the west need to worry about trading pick 6 to Hawthorn to ensure the deal wouldn't get done.

The fact is you traded away pick 6 for a crap player to ensure you got another player that didn't want to come to your pathetic club through the PSD

Eventually Rawlings would have agreed to a trade with another club (not the scumdogs of course)

I'm sure the dogs offered pick 6 to Hawthorn for Rawlings but of course you need the player to agree to the trade first........no surprise he refused

You tampered with the draft
You wasted a top 10 draft pick
You picked up a player in the PSD that didn't want to go there
The player you picked up failed

Congratulations Bullscum

I have all the respect in the world for the Filth, they have a history of great leaders and great leadership. When Judd decided he'd come to Melbourne there was a part in all of us that quietly rejoiced at the potential Twigley media exposure - however now he's here and in a carnal tangle with Visy so instead we can enjoy:

n-chris-judd.jpg

"Teaming with Visy is a significant step for me in shaping what my life beyond football might look like," Chris said. "I'm passionately committed to the environmental cause and I'm looking forward to building on my knowledge and then working to raise awareness and improve Australia's environmental performance."

Get pharked:thumbsdown: What a shit club.
Now that has to be the best post ever... congratulations!

At the very least the Essendon and Melbourne games. You had already beaten Essendon last year and if there's one time I thought Carltank gave it their all, it would be against the old enemy. Obviously not, your even more of a disgrace than ever.

I don't doubt that once our season was done and dusted, the club didn't do everything it could to win the remaining few games (though I vehemently refuse to believe that the players intentionally lost games of football).

Is this not implying simillar things. I don't insinuate that Carlton players lost games of football, more to the point they allowed equally bad and slightly better opponents to beat them.

How about Melbourne last year, and what they would have recieved. Or St Kilda's Round 17 win in 2002, lifting them to 5 wins and a draw, denying them a priority selection. Of course they made up for it by taking you bastards no1 pick.

If negotiations were going nowhere why did the scum from the west need to worry about trading pick 6 to Hawthorn to ensure the deal wouldn't get done.

So we didn't have to take a chance on Hawthorn only bluffing to end up offloading him on the Friday. This was the way to guarantee we got our man.

Essendon wasted that top 10 pick. You followed suit picking a player who wanted to be elsewhere, and were lucky that he continued to be a decent player. It must have been great that year to finally see your club return to national draft day after being banned the previous year.

Congratulations Carltank.

When did Nick Stevens ever say he didn't want to play for Carlton

He may have preferred to play for Collingwood but his prime intention was to come home to Victoria

Unlike Rawlings who was forced to a crap and unsuccessful club

Carlton didn't compromise the draft by offering Port Adelaide a pick in return for a crap player that was never going to get a game

No wonder the scumdogs can't find a major sponsor even after finishing 3rd

Why would an organisation give money to a club that is immoral and makes crap decisions

Congratulations Western Scumdogs

whats wrong?

did your club self destruct?

ohhhhhhhh and we got the best part of it.....

gee i'd be pissed off too...but i have something to look forward too in 09 :D

And in two days I see nothing has changed. Keep up the "good work" Carltank supporters. Maybe one day you can become more pathetic than your team.

Going over the salary cap - now that's something your AFL lovechild mob and Carlton have in common. No wonder you respect them.

How hard is it to respect a team that comes back from a 48 point deficit to win the match? Round 3 2007 mate. One of the if not THE best 4th quarter team for 2008. We went over the salary cap and got punished. Look at who we could've got from the draft if we didn't get our pick taken. Seriously, could you just realise that the only reason you insult Carlton is because you had a worse season then us this year?

PS. Nobody can respect the bombers after giving legendary Sheedy the sack.. And Kyle Reimers.

Rawlings really showed his contempt for playing for us when he kicked 7 goals in round 1 that year.

Nick Stevens on the other hand jumped when he was shown an off the record chequebook allowing him and other prolific millionaires to easily fit under the salary cap.

We're of course the crap, unsucessful club that spends only 2 years at the bottom before actually trying to win games again. Carlton on the other hand tanked to the bottom and stayed an extra 3 years.

Carlton gave port the equivalent of their integrity for Stevens.

You got me there on the major sponsor. We couldn't get Johnno to agree to Brown-nosing any Billionaire cardboard tycoons.

I admire all facets of Carltank's recycling and the way they can trash the AFL's credibility as a governing body and make it look clean.

Infinite Congratulations to the Carltank football club.
