AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Not exactly Weareoveratedagain, Hawthorn and Kangaroos trade negotiations were going nowhere at the time and there was a good chance Rawlings would have gone in to the pre-season draft anyway. Hawthorn were winners, getting their man Jacobs for the loss of the infamous Veale. Essendon got Alvey and Kepler Bradeley. We lost out with a fading, inconsistent Rawlings rightfully getting traded to North. Either way there was nothing we did was against AFL rules, unlike salary cap breaches.
I do respect Carlton, but on a scale of 1 to 16, they wouldnt make the 8.
Still haven't seen any explanation as to why Carltank lost any 1 of 5 games that would have lost them their priority pick last year.
The Western Bulldogs traded pick 6 to Essendon and made an arrangement with Hawthorn not to trade Rawlings to the kangaroos so the scumdogs could pick him up in the draft. What a surprise it didn't turn out well. Basically you picked up an unwilling player for pick 6 when you could have had that pick in the draft
Those same accusations of tanking can be leveled against any club in a situation similar to ours. Show me a list of all the clubs who have won a game in the last few rounds which would have cost them a priority pick before round 1, and I'll show you an empty list.
What part of Hawthorn and North's negotiations were going nowhere does not seep in through your miniscule brain.
If negotiations were going nowhere why did the scum from the west need to worry about trading pick 6 to Hawthorn to ensure the deal wouldn't get done.
The fact is you traded away pick 6 for a crap player to ensure you got another player that didn't want to come to your pathetic club through the PSD
Eventually Rawlings would have agreed to a trade with another club (not the scumdogs of course)
I'm sure the dogs offered pick 6 to Hawthorn for Rawlings but of course you need the player to agree to the trade first........no surprise he refused
You tampered with the draft
You wasted a top 10 draft pick
You picked up a player in the PSD that didn't want to go there
The player you picked up failed
Congratulations Bullscum
Melbourne cost themselves a priority pick y winning that game.
Just face it, your club is a ****ing joke, you cheat, tank and poach and you're still massively shit. Haven't even finished within the top 10 in 7 years. Have not won a single genuine premiership. That is truly a pathetic effort.
Now that has to be the best post ever... congratulations!I have all the respect in the world for the Filth, they have a history of great leaders and great leadership. When Judd decided he'd come to Melbourne there was a part in all of us that quietly rejoiced at the potential Twigley media exposure - however now he's here and in a carnal tangle with Visy so instead we can enjoy:
"Teaming with Visy is a significant step for me in shaping what my life beyond football might look like," Chris said. "I'm passionately committed to the environmental cause and I'm looking forward to building on my knowledge and then working to raise awareness and improve Australia's environmental performance."
Get pharked What a shit club.
Good to see Carlton fans still make shithouse comebacks. Next please.
Without reading through the entire thread, by insinuating we tanked, your making the assumption that we could have won the games had we wished to.
I don't doubt that once our season was done and dusted, the club didn't do everything it could to win the remaining few games (though I vehemently refuse to believe that the players intentionally lost games of football).

Essendon wasted that top 10 pick. You followed suit picking a player who wanted to be elsewhere, and were lucky that he continued to be a decent player. It must have been great that year to finally see your club return to national draft day after being banned the previous year.
Congratulations Carltank.
whats wrong?
did your club self destruct?
ohhhhhhhh and we got the best part of it.....
gee i'd be pissed off too...but i have something to look forward too in 09
Going over the salary cap - now that's something your AFL lovechild mob and Carlton have in common. No wonder you respect them.
One of the if not THE best 4th quarter team for 2008.
When did Nick Stevens ever say he didn't want to play for Carlton
He may have preferred to play for Collingwood but his prime intention was to come home to Victoria
Unlike Rawlings who was forced to a crap and unsuccessful club
Carlton didn't compromise the draft by offering Port Adelaide a pick in return for a crap player that was never going to get a game
No wonder the scumdogs can't find a major sponsor even after finishing 3rd
Why would an organisation give money to a club that is immoral and makes crap decisions
Congratulations Western Scumdogs
Rawlings really showed his contempt for playing for us when he kicked 7 goals in round 1 that year.
At least the recycled cans serve a good purpose.
Can't say the same for the bland recycled trash on the left.
4 quarters > 4th quarters.
4th quarters > 2 quarters
Settle down Sunny, you don't want to confuse the poor prick.3 + 3 = 6
