Does geelong have the worst midfield in the AFL?? Currently it has been

Bruhn, atkins, clark, blicavs, oconnor, bowes, mullin, conway/stanley

Then a handful of appearances from injury prone guthrie and dangerfield who have been out for half the season and question marks over whether they will play consistently.

Is this the worst midfield in the AFL?? If not, then who??

Richmond's is worse.
Even if you take out Prestia and Hopper who are perennially injured, Nank, Taranto, Bolton and Baker are much better than anything Geelong have been playing in there. Holmes is probably the only one that could match them, and he's barely played as a mid until recent weeks.

Without a doubt. Reckon Miers is actually their most important player now with how much work up the ground he does. Creates turnovers, delivers the ball inside 50 and kicks goals.

Without him I think Bruhn, Clark, Atkins etc would be further exposed.

It’s a very interesting list building situation, but at present it’s definitely the worst.

What happened to Clark? Does he have it?

Clark has a lot of talent. He's not getting much of it and makes mistakes but he does a couple of things a game that make you sit up and take notice. We have an amazing recent record of blooding the right young players so the fact he keeps getting picked is a great sign.

But it's tough playing as a genuine inside mid at 19 in your first proper season. Especially so when your rucks are getting killed and you don't have any high quality senior midfielders to take the load. On the weekend he was asked to take more centre bounces than Gulden or Adams so he's fighting miles out of his weight and experience division currently. In a couple of years this experience will pay dividends though.

probably but Geelong is trying to find a midfield.
First year players like Conway and Clark need 30 to 40 games under the belt to get some consistency but will probably make it, Dempsey has found a place in the team and might be worth more mid time,
Atkinson, O’Connor and Bowes have enough games but are not going to be elite just role players
Blicavs , Stanley and danger are past their prime.
Holmes has stepped up to elite this year where as bruhn hasn’t maybe he never will, might be a role player.
When playing I think can Guthrie is elite as is myers so maybe he needs more midfield time
Mullin is an experiment. I’d like to see some of the mids running around in the barnstorming vfl team get half a dozen games.guys like knevit, Steven’s or closey. Maybe one or two of them can develop into better than role players.
So yes I agree but with all these questions I think they are just going through the process to work out who the elite ones can be, hopefully it’s more than one.
