Autopsy Dogs beat Power 100 to 97. A win for the ages

You'd like to think so, but media and the judges have been wetting their pants in excitement over Weitering, so it'll be like pushing the proverbial up hill for our bloke to win it.

But, little Caleb might just might have another medal around his neck a few weeks later. :praying:

That's okay, even Bont didn't win haha

Roberts was garbage. Who cares awesome team victory. Honey, Daniel, Bont, Red, Morris, Libba, Wally, Boyd all guns!

Roberts is a work in progress. He's having to do more than he should because our backs have been going down, but this little period will probably be the making of him.

What a huge 4th quarter by Bont, that is the stuff that champions do...
I hope someone took a pick of him running along with his fist raised after kicking a goal in the last, that was classic.

The Adelaide game that was blown up in the media with regards to the umpiring was 27 to 12 in the dogs way, today 23 to 10 in ports way!

That means 2.33 free kicks for dogs per 1 for Adelaide in round 7

And 2.30 free kicks for the power per for the dogs today...

Only 0.03 difference

I wonder if all of the flogs from other teams ie norf tools and media outlets will cry about this one?

Umpiring was shocking but gee wiz some of the boys stood tall through immense pressure, wingard, wines and Neade are guns!

Just not as good as our stars Daniel and Biggs in particular were prolific

This and our win in Sydney last year are what builds a team to be able to win finals!!!
I'm sure the media will be all over it and we will request an AwFL investigation

No Fletch was good again. Port tall forwards had very little impact. Go Fletch.

A little bit of concern with ball in hand a couple of times. But he was great otherwise.

I think Beveridge had the masterstroke tactical move from the coaches box today, when he started Stringer in the midfield early in Q4.
Got us back into the lead with his injection of movement at stoppages and was in my view the momentum turning point of the match.

Just watched AFL highlights of win today. An absolute disgrace! Way more of ports goals shown than ours. Didn't even show Bonts last goal! . Now I don't have Foxtel.

What a game. Heart is still racing.

This side's ability to not only cope with but thrive in adversity is at a level I've never seen. Missing Murphy, Dahl (for most of it), Crameri, Wood, McLean, Stevens, Adams and JJ, a man down on the bench and with the umpires massively overcorrecting after all the Pannell talk, it was stacked against us and we ground out the win. Beaming from ear to ear.

Roberts wasn't that bad. Dixon's game sucked from my perspective. The outrageously biased commentators would have us believe he's some world beater but in reality he just ran in straight lines at the ball and a couple stuck across two hours.

If Caleb Daniel doesn't win the Rising Star it'll be the biggest robbery since... well, since the Mortlake Menace made a late media-driven charge to steal it from the Bont. And hey, how did that one turn out?

Honeychurch was huge. Disposed of it neatly all day and stood a foot taller in that critical last 10 minutes. Had a feeling he'd make a big impression after being held back for so long.

Bailey Williams is a gem. Looked so comfortable and composed even in that crazy pressure cooker of a last quarter. He moves so much like Bob.

I've never been more confident about the future of this team. We're bursting with confidence, desperation, depth and determination. We are a serious premiership contender.

Typical AFL. What a disgrace I am not surprised. Look I am not one of these the AFL are out to get us types but the AFL hate our guts an want us to fail. Typical.

Everyone calling this one of the best games this year. Seriously, almost every game we have played this year has been regarded as immense pressure or suffocating. I'm not sure if it's how we play or if we are getting every teams best (apart from freo. Saints brought pressure but not skills)

What an absolute cracker of a game though. Joined my Bulldogs supporting mate in the corporate box, the tension was palpable the entire game. We were both pacing.
What a cracker. Agreed plus. Pity there wasnt more crowd support for doggies to add to atmosphere.
Already recognised as one if the best games all year by people like Tim Lane.

Bailey Williams. Shit I thought it was too soon. But this kid's a jet. What depth we have.

Hazard, you are welcome in Footscray.

You know who is a total campaigner? Ben "Big Boner" Brown. The name doesn't even make any ****ing sense, who's ever heard of a boner that's ****ing soft?

And who the **** does Ben Cunnington think he is?

In and around dairy farms? Mate, get off your ****ing high horse, you don't know more about milk just because you were proximal to farms that happen to produce milk. I grew up in and around bakeries, but I don't go telling everyone about it as if it makes me some kind of bakery guru.

Would be pretty hard to beat the Crows or Hawks games. seems like we play in the match of the round every week.

I think port is being way under-rated in this thread. They are inconsistent but when they are at their best they are as good as anyone, especially at home. And today they brought their A-game (after the first 10 mins), so to get over the top of them in that form is fantastic.

I also won't bitch about the umpiring. It was terrible (forget the free count - it was the decisions that were poor) but I want us to be a team that triumphs over bad umpiring, not a team that sooks about it after losses. No excuses.

And that's what the team is! Couldn't be more pleased.
Port has some top running players and can move the ball fast. Took a lot of Guts and Determination to be in front at last siren.
