The sad thing is, if they went away, or at least stopped saying the same negative things over and over and over again, we might actually have more supporter’s join the forum.

Ah man props, awesome ****ing result. English was huge, ****ing huge. No one should have to do what he has to do but maybe if there’s someone to do it it’s him. Huge game against the odds.

Libba, Bont, Gardner was brilliant. Jamarras game was just huge, cleared out the forward line for him pushed Naughty and Bruce back and even without the winning blow he just performed, halved or won every contest. Huge.

Massive props all round, eating my words from Thursday as I really didn’t think we had that in us. I think the years going to be a disappointment but it’s all worth it to experience that live, great stuff

Its no coincidence that once they stopped flying for the same ball that the defensive half of our game tightened up.
All jokes aside this actually did change in game from the first quarter - it’s like we finally realised that not everyone has to fly and we sat someone out the back.

Garcia loves a goal - seen him kick 2 in a quarter while being hidden in a back pocket. Gutsy player who won't shy away from the moment.

Absolutely stoked he's fit again and cementing a spot within your side. Long may it continue.

Great win btw. :fire::fire::fire:

Apart from a couple of dumb spoils when we had 3 or fliers that was probably Gardiner's best game for the club. Has come to the realisation he can actually catch the ball and is starting to take intercepts and his field kicking whilst still iffy has improved significantly. And he even set up English's epic goal. I can't recall him tonight conceeding a mark inside defensive 50. Even the free he gave away to May actually wasn't a free but very good defending.

11 spoils, 4 intercept marks (one less than May) and 2 contested marks.

For me Bailey Dale's last quarter spoil in the square was the match winning play.
I'd already written that off as another Melbourne goal after the centring kick.
Total brilliance by Dale to avoid front-on contact.

It wasn't a joke. I made the same point in the game day thread during the half time break. It was doing my head in early in the game watching a number of our players fly for the same ball only to knock each other out of the contest and then for the ball spill free and go to a Melbourne player smart enough to stay down.

Cracking game of footy. I’d hoped Brucey got on the end of a few in the last quarter but has really struggled since his return. Hope he finds some form soon

I’m cool with people saying stuff, the same thing over and over and over again is a bit much though,
We have a decent amount of supporters, seems this “church” is more about the “church”, rather than making it a place enjoyable to read.

I don’t mind Jordon Sweet but gosh, our coach isn’t perfect but gosh again.

Giving up on a season lol, tonight was clearly proof in a pudding of how silly that is, let alone saying it over and over and over again.

We can bag GWS, but I look at our topics during the week, then compare the input to other clubs, and gosh again, no wonder our supporters aren’t engaging.

Bruce was really poor, absolutely nothing against him and I want to give him time to get ready for next year but we have to consider whether we might be better off with Darcy next week. He’s a long way off it unfortunately

massive game for juh.

Shout out to the usual suspects too (bont, libba, macrae)

Good to see buku improve with the last half of the game.

I also shitposted in the GD thread. But I always do, particularly if it’s a night game and I’m three sheets to the wind.

Tbf, 70 points conceded at half time is north Melbourne levels of incompetence. It took really accurate kicking and an amazing second half to overcome that.
Must have been a conflicting night for you given that in the 2nd qtr you were glad you loaded up on the Dee's.
