Good win! Played well for the most part but it wouldn’t be us without leaving the door ajar late.

Probably still a little too reliant on Bont and English. Thought Smith was very good and Arty Jones played well. Despite a rough night Naughton just doesn’t go away and finished the game well. Would be nice not too play in the rain for once.

Next week will be interesting. Neither us nor the Blues have been able to put in four quarters this year. I think we should win but they are a team that can kick 5 or 6 in a hurry if we have one of our lapses.

It was overall an ordinary performance, they weren’t tough enough and consistently mucked around with the ball which is why they only had 45 inside 50s.

English and Bont were very good and A Jones was promising again.

Ugle Hagen has put out three the shockers in the wet, he had numerous opportunities but again but couldn’t hold onto the ball.

They are a bottom 4 side with their 2 best players missing and we beat them by 2 goals at full strength. If you are happy with that then good for you.

Sorry for having an opinion. I’ll run everything by you first going ahead.

Why do you feel justifying having a go at everyone all the time?

3 wins in a row and our season is rolling. It's a long season too. We just won away, in wet conditions, against a team inspired from their previous week.

I'm happy with that myself, so that's good for me

Highlighting the positives

  • without L Jones on the backline they’d be screwed
  • arty is developing nicely
  • English continues to be one of the dominant talls in the game
  • Bont is a rolls royce

"All the time"

Why come on here and melt most of the time ... you're allowed to have an opinion but I don't see why the majority of them need to be negative.

There were plenty of positives. It was crap conditions and they clearly tired.

Could probably give the plastics some credit given they did this against Sydney last week but won. At least our team showed a bit of maturity in the end after not a great quarter.

The rest of the game was solid

Treloar had no ice on his hammy which is a good sign? Disappointing to let go of the rope in the first 10 minutes but we got freaking hosed by the umps in that 10 minutes.

Much like the Port game it coincided with Bont being on the bench as well, we have to fix this, would rather he starts the 4th in the forward line and works his way back into the middle.

Thought Gardner was very Rusty but tough game and conditions to make your season debut in.

Take the win and run with it. Would like an outdoor game where it isn't raining for once. Feels like all of our games outside have been under rain.

Bontempelli huge today, especially that first half. Arty Jones had his best game by far this season so far. English always dependable. Richards, love his intercept marks. Smith was again pretty clean with his ball use tonight, has really come along during the past three weeks.

The only downside, can we hold a big lead for once? Or run over a team for once? We like to make it hard for ourselves, keeping our opponents in the game. If Giants had Greene, they probably win that.

BIG four weeks coming up. Carltons midfield have given us a run the last few games. Adelaide is the type of team that can exploit our weaknesses with how they play, the Suns away up there who have beaten Cats and should have beaten the Demons today, then the Cats themselves.

Canberra shithole game in miserable conditions. Happy to get the 4 points and move on. We're just quietly banking the wins now and hopefully really peak in the second half of the year. Midfield a concern now without Treloar though.
It is, but we still have Bont, Libba, Macrae and Smith.

Hopefully it’s a short break. He’s been great.

It’s been a struggle to win against 2 bottom 4 sides. Personally I have higher expectations than scrapping in against some of the worst teams in the comp.

Happy to stay under the radar
