Treloar had no ice on his hammy which is a good sign? Disappointing to let go of the rope in the first 10 minutes but we got freaking hosed by the umps in that 10 minutes.

Much like the Port game it coincided with Bont being on the bench as well, we have to fix this, would rather he starts the 4th in the forward line and works his way back into the middle.

Thought Gardner was very Rusty but tough game and conditions to make your season debut in.
Icing the hammy in Canberra would keep the hammy warmer but good spot.

I actually think it was very impressive the way we worked hard to steady when we were challenged in the last.

Didnt make for comfortable viewing, but we have had issues stopping momentum and the way we knuckled down and worked hard to stop it was good (of course, would have been good if their run on hadn’t even happened, but I at least saw something put in place to halt the momentum, and it worked)

Great games by Bont, English, Libba, Artie Ziff, Macrae, huge last quarter by Naughton, Ed Richards also very good.

Hopefully Treloar is ok. Poor bloke.

We look to be back on track - excuse the statement of obvious, but beating Carlton would be massive. And sweeeeeeeeet.

Go Dogs.

English has turned a corner with his physicality this year. Flynn’s exactly the kid of ruck that would’ve worked him over in years past.

Arty is so assured when he gets the ball. Works out what he’s doing immediately and rides and twists out of tackles. Real contrast with too many of the other blokes that lack composure.

Gardner already leading the league for freaking out and launching the ball directly up in the air inside D50.

Bont. Magnifico.

Think the melts on Marras game were harsh, wasn’t his best night but when is he ever gonna suit these conditions? I thought he tried really hard, the effort was there which was the main thing. Naughty was arguably worse until his dominant 10 mins, it just was never going to be their night.

Very happy with how hes tracking and I suspect Bev gives him a big tick for his attitude tonight, never stopped trying.

He’s a gem, will be a superstar

Next two games already 8 pointers as we don’t play either team twice, can give ourselves a nice gap winning the next two before tough games in Darwin and against the Pussy’s.
Dunkley played Cripps well last night. Can Libba do that this week?
Just Bont go with him, Bont is better in every single facet of the game.

A really good win, our season is starting to hum along nicely.
Really good coaching. I know Bev has his critics here, but he has addressed the opposition run on issues.l
Fair enough those questioning the clubs coaching, but the people who wrote long abusive essays should be pretty embarrassed about now.
We are in this with a shot.

I wonder whether fatigue from the recent interstate trips finally got us. We did well to get 4 points.

Trips to Adelaide Perth now Canberra in a month May have taken a toll. Glad month done

Early second quarter I muttered to myself “they’re all over us here”

Bont had other ideas. Gave us everything we needed at the right time.

Last quarter they were coming like Collingwood at us.

Bont decided “I’m hacking that bastard forward every time it’s anywhere near me”

Thought GWS were really impressive. Especially breaking away from drop of ball or the wing. When we made them kick through us though our defence looked much better. Our defence of the last kick inside 50 has really picked up this year.

Arty was epic. He had a clean set of heels and hands.

Bont is papering over a lot at times around the ball. The league is really kicking along with big dynamic bodies in the midfield but thankfully he and English are getting us enough territory for us to have been a solid team.

They are a bottom 4 side with their 2 best players missing and we beat them by 2 goals at full strength. If you are happy with that then good for you.
Voice your concerns with the game sure but no need to make up shit, in what way are they a bottom 4 team? They’re equal 11th?

They’re a pretty good side, the biggest margin put on them this year was the ladder leaders beating them by a whopping 6 points more than we did…

Bont, Arty, English, Ed all great

Keath is an absolute liability

Most of their Q4 goals came from failed spoils from Keath, Gardy or Dale, must impact the ball and put it out when your third man up.

JUH needs to be better with ground ball opportunities, he burns the good work up the ground.

Cody, please try crumbing to Naughts and the other talls, not trying to mark, perfect crumbing night and he had no impact.

When we got 5 goals up all i could think of was Treloar's hamstrings (cold night, did one there recently) and then pop, sub should have been made, and/or Treloar shouldnt have put himself in that situation give the match context.

He got a head knock early but played on. Unless I’ve missed a delayed concussion.
Saw it happen. Was a hit to the side of the face with a bit of a 'head snap' from McKay.

I thought at the time it was a definite concussion.

He played on so we'll see.

Didn't libba play on when he got the knock but was ruled out after the match?

GWS aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be. Haven't been blown out all year, their biggest loss is only 21 points

Haven’t played the Cats, Dees, Saints or the Pies. They’ve been competitive or lost against poor teams and others battling for a Top 8 spot.

Tonight was a poor performance full of poor footy. A decent team would have rolled us comfortably.

Agree

For his mistakes he certainly kept his head down and endeavour up the whole game

Hopefully JUH can start getting those clean ground balls. Has looked panicky over the past two years.

Can you tell he is my favourite player?

Very noticeable tonight. Was spending the ball before he had it. Should have had 3 without too much issue. Ended up with 1.1 and a couple howlers.

English and Bont continue carrying the side.

Lobb took his chances

Naughton came up clutch after a very quiet game

Arty showed a whole lot

Richards great again with his intercepting

JJ very good

Treloar will be a big loss. Hopefully we can pull a rabbit out of the hat and find a replacement
