Any idea of when a release date will be announced (if it hasn't already)? Had a quick look around but only found TBC 2013.

Does look good, although I personally wouldn't use the bobblehead mode in a play test for people.
No date has been announced yet, shouldn't be too far from an announcement though.

As for Bobblehead/Big Head mode, if people asked for it we weren't going to tell them no. Personally I think the big heads look fantastic, it shows off the graphical fidelity of the faces really well. It obviously will cause some visual issues, but it's just a fun mode not meant to be taken seriously.

Am I the only one that thinks this looks like any other cricket game that's ever been released? Personally, I don't understand the hype.
Considering like every other cricket game, it is also a game about cricket, it's not surprising.

From what i've read, it's the new style of gameplay that has most people excited, that and the absolute mountain of customisation it has.

Yeah I get what you mean, considering the games we've had have been severely sub-standard (lets be honest). I'm excited by this though, just a few little things like some of the shots and bowling action looks pretty good. Away from the pitch the mountain of customisation is amazing and will add a lot to the overall game. Time will tell I guess though, on the pitch it would be nice to have some competitive games against the AI.

Some diabolical bugs in this vid. Really worried now:
- Commentary is bizarre. From this little snippet, some of the s*it that was said...
- The dude was playing the career mode as a bowler, yet never got picked to bowl!
- Full crowd for a one day domestic match
- The team captain is always the wicketkeeper
- All games at the SCG
- Massive screw up by the keeper missing a simple run-out
- Obvious edge to the keeper not given out
- Keeper takes the ball by standing still and sticking a glove out
- Player motion looks unco

Everything in that video is from a buggy earlier build, it was said numerous times today that one of the systems set-up didn't have the up to date build. The other playable units had the latest build on them and from all reports were very much improved.

Let's go through these then shall we.

First off, I do like the way you make huge sweeping assumptions based on the two games played in this video.

The two things that are 'always happening' in SCG games and captain being the wicketkeeper. Did you notice the first match being played at Bradman Oval or was that just me? The team captain for Victoria in our game does happen to be the wicket keeper, surprisingly that's what one Victorian captain happens to be at the moment. On top of that, you can change captains in the Academy, if you don't want them captain, change them. The captain of QLD isn't the Wicket Keeper...

The crowd values in the game are actually pretty good. You're not really going to have an empty stadium as an option as we still need atmosphere to match the noise in the game. The crowd will filter in and out based on wickets taken and how well a team plays, there's a lot less of a crowd at that match than you're insinuating though, it's not full.

As for not being picked to bowl. In some instances in your diabolical bug synopsis you want realism, but then you come up with that one. Facts are, you're a 16yo rookie and in your first couple of matches, you're not going to be opening the bowling and bowl a ton of overs. You have to work your way up, you will get chosen to bowl, but just not a huge amount early on. Again, you're assumption that 'you never get picked to bowl' is nice.

The other issues in run outs, edges and animations are based on the old build. It's unfortunate that's what footage was taken, but if you saw the final builds running yesterday then you would've seen none of that happening.

I think you're overall assumption of diabolical is...well diabolical in itself. Diabolical would infer that the game is completely unplayable and not fun. I can tell you without a doubt it is neither of those two things and the reactions of people that got their hands on the game yesterday would absolutely confirm that as well. Write it off based on 20 minutes of off camera footage if you want, but you will be missing out.

Isnt Matthew Wade the Victorian keeper? Dont think he was keeping in the game.

Specialist number 11 batsmen dont really exist in real cricket, especially at state level, in case you didnt know - unless its Under 10's milo cricket...As a number 11 batsman, you would expect to be a bowler in the team and get given a ball surely. This is odd.

Not a great first impression but Ill probably get it at EB then take it back if its crap. Commentary is shit.

Really? What have they made that has been quality? Don't tell me AFL Live.
Am I the only one who really enjoyed AFL Live? Far from perfect but thought it was easily the best AFL game ever released.
Really looking forward to this and glad to hear some of the gameplay bugs spotted in the video above have been fixed

I know for a fact that the Victorian captain in the game is the wicket keeper, I am looking at it right now. If that is different in the video then someone changed it, as is the nature of the customisability with the game, it could've very well been edited.

I don't quite know what you're getting at here, but I said you WILL bowl, you just won't get a huge chance as a newbie 16yo. It's a gradual build up. Attempting to glean how an entire career works based off 2 matches is just silly.
