What about downgrading Petrie (giving me nothin') to Vardy. Have Z. Smith on the bench with the bye. The cash could help out with some upgrades elsewhere on the field.
thoughts?

Do you have an MPP (Hale/Tippet) in the FWD line to get any use from him?? I think he will be a reasonable F7 and still has some money to make from $330,000. Reasonably high BE (80 odd) this week, so you would need to hold onto him for a few more to make $$...

If he is rotting away in the R4 position with no rotation in the FWD line, and you need upgrades elsewhere, get rid of him.

What do you guy's reckon of Sippos js. I was going to go I Smith but he isn't named this week. Really through a spanner in my plans!

I've traded him in based on his game against the Hawks. If the Saints are on toast already this season, then Ross Lyon would be crazy not to continue to play him...

Okay, so I've gone with a risky one. Riewoldt's obviously declining and not gonna give me the scores I nabbed him at the start for.

Over the last 3 weeks, Jack Watts has averaged 92 and he's only $284,800. Huge risk, but I'm downgrading to him cos I feel he's found confidence in his own ability and will start to really hit around the 90 park most weeks, which is what Riewoldt is doing anyway. Kind of a risky sideways trade to make $100,000.

Plus now I have $384,900 in the bank for next week when I upgrade some cash cows into premiums (probably Heppell and Curnow).

LOL.
I'm gonna downgrade Pavlich to Rhys Palmer, then user the money to upgrade hibberd to Raph Clarke.... About the same logic as that trade mate.
Don't do it

Orrrr not... Like I said, it's a risk. Riewoldt has posted these scores this year:

86
95
112
86
47
63
88

And lost me $156,400.

So I'm jumping off.

Watts has gotten 80, 92 and 105 the last 3 weeks. I'm taking the risk he'll continue that form.

And now I get to upgrade Curnow to say Swan and Heppell to say Ablett, giving me a midfield of:

Swan, Ablett, Sylvia, Cotchin, Kennedy, Boak, Liberatore, Harris and Conca.

So I don't know why you felt the need to bring Pavlich (averaging 114) and Raph Clarke (averaging 43) in and compare them to Riewoldt (averaging 88) and Swan (averaging 128).

You're a bit off, pal.

Michael Evans (Melb) burning it up early for the Dees. so far 6 touches and 3 marks in the first qtr. Basement priced mid by the looks of it.

edit: ^great minds :D

howd that reiwoldt out trade go for ya mate....add his 141 to the list of his scores this year :)

with tapscott out i am looking at tom lynch from GC (av 88) or michael newton from Melb (av 92).

nearly tempted to get them both and get rid of one of krak or matera as well for the cash!
if i only had to get one, who would have more job security? any ideas?

michael evans ripped up the possession count today but didnt convert well to SC points but still, 74ish cant be laughed at. see how he goes next week. he will be awesome for dream team tho.

another thing to consider is the amount of LTI melb have. ..

I don't look at it as losing Riewoldt, I was more worried about Watts' score. He got 83 - which is about par for what I was expecting, so I ain't upset! Now I get to upgrade to actually consistent premiums (unlike Riewoldt) and love life!

Makes no sense at this stage of the season to:
Burn a trade and get rid of a non-performing premium - by this stage the damage is already done, and you expose yourself to the risk of the premium come good when everyone else's picking them up cheap. Lose - Lose

At this stage you only get value (premium-wise), no sideways (that's for rounds 2-4) and you don't ever get mid-rangers now - you are supposed to get them in your initial team and upgrade them.

Evans looks promising as an alternative to the hot cake with no JS (I.Smith) and 18 yr old KPF (Lynch). I'd wait another game to see. If you have no Mid-Forward link though I.Smith is good pick just for that purpose even if he doesn't play too much.

Agree. Likewise Mzungu (F/M) and Jacobs (D/M) could be worth a downgrade look even if you don't expects incredible performance from either. Both could play out most of the year in the seniors and give that glorious flexbility to dodge byes/shorts suspensions/other ways to get donuts.

Don't know anything about Evans except he's screaming to be brought in to realize some cash off Swallow/Harris/Krakouer or someone. See if he can even vaguely back it up in his second week whilst I wring one more week's price increase out of the candidates for culling.

LOL. Don't pick up Juice... he will be dropped very soon... has a maximum of 2 more games in him.

woww either this guy was joking or this has got to be the worst trade (and even worse explanations in defense of the trade) i've witnessed in my all my 5 or so years of supercoach

Don't waste any more keystrokes on this guy, he's a lost cause by the sounds of it.

Shaun1800 - r u still regretting wright from the crows?

Haha, mate I never lost faith in him ;) No but seriously the week after I got him it looked like had injured his knee and I had made a dud pick, then the week after boom 116!! He backed it up last week with an 85 too. Couldnt be happier with him so far, especially since I saved 20 grand on Iles. Thanks for the tip :)

Be wary. Scully and Trengove will be back soon.

Dee's looking to pump games into the combination of Scully, Trengove, Mckenzie, Gysberts and Moloney. If Evans plays, he will get less midfield time.

Job security isn't great.

What are peoples thoughts on Luke Delaney (nth mel) as a backline downgrade target down the track? I didn't see him play myself but he scored 76 in his first game last week which looks promising. Will he hold his spot?

Delaney looked really good, but having had Pedersen on the bench all year who knows what tricks Scott will pull with rookie selections. He's also a rookie, so may get dropped back to the rookie list if North runs out of injuries.
