Looking at knightmare's previous efforts, these are his FINAL draft selections a day out. His track record is quite impressive.

For 2015:
https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/knightmares-2015-draft-almanac.1091303/
5/5 here as well.

For 2016:

He got the first 5 right in 2015 a day out from the event in 2016.

For 2017:

He was also 5/5, but with the Freo selections swapped.

However, his phantom drafts a month out (which is what the current one we're looking at is) seem to be quite inaccurate. It should be noted that he does get the top 5 players down pat pretty well, just a touch off with where they go.

For 2016:

1/5
For 2017:

1/5

Not necessarily a steal, if you got someone like Lukosius at 10 I'd happily call it a steal, but 'the greatest steal of all time'? Ben King could become the GOAT of our sport on par with Michael Jordan and Tom Brady and I still don't think he'd be 'the greatest steal of all time' at 10. And the chances of a key defender becoming the GOAT aren't exactly high.

You're on a slippery slope when you take BigFooty hyperbole literally Schulzy.

Justin Reid is gonna be even less popular than the Birdbrain if he can't get a pick somewhere before our first one or if he can't land one of Lukosius or Rankine - finished two places lower than us, plus Lever and McGovern compo picks, yet currently each of our first round picks are in front of theirs - surely they'll have to attempt something drastic.
If only they still had Triggy.

Would be more than happy with those three. Big fan of Hately. Not entirely sold on Butters but enough people rate him highly to go with their judgement. Sometimes I see a bit of Robbie Flower in his play, other times Aaron Fiora. More good than bad though.

Surprised he has Adelaide taking Jordan Clark but they don't always do the obvious. Clark has zoomed up the rankings. And it opens the door for Hately to Port.

Macca19 Curtis Taylor to crows :D

Agree but swap Butters to Ian Hill and were set for the next 10 years!

I'll get shot down, but I'd be happy to reach for Sparrow at #15

Just something about him.

Sparrow intrigues me but I’m not sold on spending such a high pick on him.

Knightmare's ESPN post trade phantom is online, has us taking Rankine, Hately and Butters.

That would be a great haul. I like butters but I have no idea whether he will be an afl footballer. I don’t think anyone will know until we see him in someone’s colours. Still he has stuff we need.

I wonder if Port will be influenced by their current culture wars.

Pie 4 Life named Chayce Jones and xavier duursma as two of the liked 'high character' players who are both in the 10-20 range.

He also had us taking Smith over Rankine!
Just FYI if either of the other two SA boys are there, you take them. I know I’ll cop a bit for that, but there’s a bit of smoke and mirrors around Draft time and there’s more than a consideration that Rankine is far from the obvious choice when you pick it up, put it that way.

I would be happy with Smith over Rozee. I have a good feeling about Smith!

Just something about him.
The SA under 18 coach (Bamford) talked of Hately saying he didn’t have the burst of speed of a Rankine, Rozee or Sparrow. Immediately I was interested in Sparrow. There are often SA players who go under the radar. This year will be no exception, except it won’t be one of the top 4, it’ll be someone like Sparrow.

Could get him by splitting 15 into 20 and 22 though.

I’m reading he’s Prince Alfred captain so he must be better than average.

Plus we get 6?

Looks like we could get Rankine, Rozee or Smith?

That would be a nice score for our midfield woes. Take best tall at third pick 6 and second rounder for 10 and 15?

Starting rookie FWD, Starting mid, development player.
