I was just wondering what the exact dates are for eligibility for this years draftees.

Is it 1/1/91 - 31/12/91 ?

Born on or before 31/12/1991. There's no maximum age, hence no minimum birth date.

I think the draft rules say that boys have to turn 18 before the 30th April in the following year. Some some 17 year olds can enter the draft as long as they are 18 before then. If they do not get drafted they stay on the list for 5 years.

That's the old eligibility rules. The AFL changed them, with the 2009 draft being the first with the new date - hence why we only have 8 months worth of "new" draftees to choose from this year.

So the 12 players the Gold Coast can pick up have to be born between 1/1/1992 and 30/6/1992 ?

Between 1/1/1992 and 30/4/92.
