That is where it will get interesting. Clubs are now wedded to targets. If those targets get taken earlier then we may see clubs looking to trade for their best interest, rather than having an arbitrary win. I don't expect the Saints to trade for anything less than a ridiculous offer because they have a rookie in charge. But the rest are experienced and will trade to maximise their draft board haul.

I agree that't the only sort of deal which GC would agree to... which is exactly why the deal won't be happening. The difference between the seller's asking price, and the maximum price the buyer is willing to pay, is just far too great.

Clubs are not used to 5 minute timeframes to make Trade decisions .... they’ll more likely experiment year 1 from the 2nd round
