I don’t think FOS gets past us if he’s here.

Langford and Smillie are interesting. If they had the choice and chose Smillie I’m ok with that as they seem to know him a tiny bit better than the other clubs. They would pick him based on projection, not output vs Harvey this year. In saying that, Langford has all the runs on the board.

If it were me it would be FOS then Langford then Smillie. But I think all are great options there.

We'll take the best mid that slides. There was a luncheon at the Australian Club 2 weeks ago where Jason Taylor confirmed we'll be taking mids this year. In and of itself it doesn't guarantee that we'll overlook Tauru, but I'm supremely confident we won't be taking a tall at 5, especially when we're in dire need of more midfield class.

It's in Richmond and Melbourne's interest to have North take Tauru before their pick. Both clubs have the 3 picks after the Saints too so could be genuine interest and hard to pinpoint which pick.

Could be as simple as having 2 f2’s allows a little more flexibility at the trade table.

Ie north could now package f1 and f2 for a pick this year

I can understand why North would take F2. My question mark was more on how Adelaide get that F2.

Both clubs may have an actual interest at 9-11 making it not that difficult to show interest at 5-6 given the work they'd put in.

Worst result in that scenario is a Saints trade. Saints take a mid before 5 & 6 North take Tauru before 9 & 11.

Second worst would be North take a mid and maybe Tauru gets to 9-11.

Mate, constantly banging on about it here and on our board doesn’t make a difference lol.

You don’t want Tauru, neither do most of our fans (at Pick 5 at least). I can't see us passing up on whoever is left over from Smith/Draper/FOS/Langford/Lalor – it's an easy pick for a team that desperately needs good young mids coming through.

Shouldn't have won a dead rubber in Round 24.

Nah, I reckon it will be as simple as this.

Whoever you don’t take at 1. Will get through to Melbourne at 5 (unless fos goes 4 to north and Melbourne take Tauru).

So Melbourne choose between Fos/Lalor or Langford and I think they go Fos/Lalor.

I think Richmond are set on Smillie over Langford. You’ll go for the higher ceiling player as opposed to Langford who has more runs on the board this year.

You don’t want Tauru, neither do most of our fans (at Pick 5 at least). I can't see us passing up on whoever is left over from Smith/Draper/FOS/Langford/Lalor – it's an easy pick for a team that desperately needs good young mids coming through.

Few clubs including yours who think you’ll grab a mid ignoring that the reason this draft is so unpredictable is because none of these top 6 mids we all want are as good as the cream picks of the last few years. So the potential of Tauru is a legitimate option for north you and my mob - probably Richmond too.

FOS was linked to Carlton as the reason they traded down to pick 3.

So IMO Jagga is likely plan B. A pretty bloody good pkan B.

So if the Crows want Jagga then interest in pick 2 is real.

Well I posted last Sunday I was at a corporate function with a number of agents recruiters + cricketers past and present and the word from the football guys was that the blues really liked Jagga (post is there)

So it’s not unexpected that it’s come out this week.

Adelaide being keen enough to trade up is new news. It also came from an SA based reporter - so you would assume carries more weight with regards to legitimacy
