Yeah fair enough. I’d be disappointed if we gave you a pick at 20 for Hotton if he was still there and didn’t take him ourselves. And we are in such a position I don’t think we would be doing clubs any favours with so many list needs.
Bo Allan love....I don't get it. Looks to be a low possie mid who will end up at half back but his major question marks are foot skills and decision making. Hope someone jumps on him before we do.
Have a wank, relax and stop repeating the same comment over and over.Either way.

I still have skin in the game here. I have a preference who lands there. Especially if we don’t split 8 and it looks like Bo Allan is the pick in that case.Have a wank, relax and stop repeating the same comment over and over.
You don’t need to keep panicking about a midfielder not sliding to pick 7.
If they offered F1+45 to everyone after pick 20, they'd be a fair shot of finding a taker before Dodson is selected - he may still be there into the late 20s.Not sure how the Cats would go trying to get a pick in the early 20s. Even a F1 & F2 might not be enough they could realistically be picks 25 & 43 next year.
Both look like very good players & would be stoked if Crows landed either of them.Jagga isn't a level above Draper, infact I have him just below Draper. Just go and look at their highlights, and Draper bursting out of the middle, breaking lines and delivering is exactly what we need. Another small accumulator isn't what we need any more.
not hatred at all, it realistic analysis of the situation and system... the same could apply to Melb, StK or WB ...All the rest, take elsewhere……but this bit. What are you doing bagging North? Seriously? Makes the hatred even worse.
Is Edwards a complete write off at this point? He was very highly rated in last years draft but slid for whatever reason.Well Smith will get matched so that won't happen.
I can see us liking gerreyn (although I'm not sure I want 3 WA ruck/kpf personally) but he might well get to 45 anyway.
I think we would need to trade our future 1st to get a pick early enough for Dodson (say Richmond at 23) and that would surprise me. Geelong seem to really rate Conway so unless his foot is worse than we think I would have thought a genuine fwd is the go.
I thought it was impossible. No chance he lands with us.
He won’t get past Richmond’s second selection.

Denial methinks!Piffle.
Given that the distribution accounted for +50% of NM's total income of $50.6 million for 2023 and expenses were $50.33 million, just where would they make the +$8 million (16%) savings required to be profitable. Happy for you to point the savings out for meA) You're right about the worst mathematician deducing that. One that is so bad that they don't understand the correlation between expenditure and income. Crazy notion, but do you think it's possible that North may have spent less if they had less income coming from the distribution.
The base distribution isn't charity, anything else, other than prize money, is!B) One thing the AFL does on behalf of the clubs is sell the tv rights for a ****ing fortune. The distributions aren't charity.
They're a big part of what the clubs earn and they only receive a small fraction of it even those who get a bigger distribution.
I do not advocate a move away from the current system where we have equal salary caps, equal soft caps, and the draft where everyone has an equal opportunity to build a competitive squad regardless of a club's wealth. I am somewhat confused how with those systems and limits in place, how off field finances are even relevant to a clubs onfield success if a club manages its list correctly. Why should any club ever be bailed out for poor list management decisions, like NM have been across the 22-24 drafts.C) The AFL community has decided to have an even competition rather than a financial arms race. You seem to think that's unfair.
Yes we are fortunate with our supporter base who continue to show up win, lose or draw, unlike many other clubs fair weather supporters, but I bet you aren't aware we've paid over $150 million to the WAFL over the years. That goes to develop the next generations of draftees that all clubs can access, what have NM contributed, the talent pathways in Victoria are AFL funded. If you made the same contribution to the growth of the game, and the development of players (most of whom end up elsewhere) as WCE, I might feel inclined to listen to you.Yet your financial strength comes directly from the AFL gifting you access to the biggest football market split of any club in the country.
what a bizarre comment.. it is that attitude that almost got the insolvent VFL and Clubs completely shut down in 1986. They were saved by WCE and BB money, nothing else. What do you think would happen if all clubs were as unprofitable, and reliant on prop-up funding as NM, StK, WB, Melbourne and the northern clubs.? The competition would go belly up.That club doesn't get that it's a not for profit industry and bizarrely many of their fans are proud of the reality that there club maximises profit by taking advantage of a duopoly to price gouge them - making it easily the most expensive place in the country to watch AFL.
