Well I'm stumped because I've looked and -

  • Ljp86 Medal :whitecheck:
  • Hatchy1992 Medal :whitecheck:
  • Pie 4 Life Medal :whitecheck:
  • Coach AceAndy’s MVP:whitecheck:
  • Blaze Storm Medal :whitecheck:
  • Knifey Spoony Footlong Encouragement Award:whitecheck:

Dragons FFC Season 37 B&F Results

It's finally time and as they say, better late than never... right?

We recognise the following awards:

  • Ljp86 Medal (best qooty player/poster)
  • Hatchy1992 Medal (leading goal kicker)
  • Pie 4 Life Medal (best clubman)
  • Coach AceAndy’s MVP (best on-field performance)
  • Blaze Storm Medal (best first year player)
  • Knifey Spoony Footlong Encouragement Award (self explanatory)

Headlining the night of course will be the Ljp86 Medal, named after the great man himself: Ljp86. The award is determined from a totally secret sauce combination of on-field Qooty performances and match thread engagement.

The count will commence shortly.
 I dont think i was the coach in season 37. Hmmm, perhaps i was.

It's perhaps a certain irony that the reason I missed this award the other night is I'm so gosh darn terrible at perusing the awesome Sweet FA+ and picking up on important stats, like say, games played and therefore milestones and stuff like that. Anyway the irony is because the awardee this evening is exceptional at it, and nothing ever gets by them. Whereas they are like a walking computer, I'm the embodiment of Should Have Gone to Specsavers. Anyway, I digress, the award isn't for stat keeping/recognition!

No, indeed, I am very happy to award Dragons FFC Life Membership to none other than....

serial_thrilla !

While not currently a Dragon as of writing, but hopefully will be again at some point sooner rather than later (insert homer-simpson-fist.jpg), the Thrilla needs no introduction, having had quite the career since he came into the league in Season 29 joining an AceAndy led Dragons outfit, in which he would start off with a bang winning an EKA. Since then, he would captain the club (S31-S33), win a Frankston Rover medal (S33) and even become a Premiership Captain during S32 as the mighty Dragons lifted the cup.

He's also been an All-SFA regular, having represented no fewer than 5 times (S30, S31, S33, S36 and S37), proving he could do it all, onfield and off.

When many in the league think of serial, they probably think of evil mastermind. The scourge of anyone slightly lax in submitting teamsheets or flouting league rules. All this is true, but as anyone that's been in the inner sanctum with him knows, he's also a fantastic team player and leader. He was a great successor to the aforementioned AceAndy in captaining the club, and while I've never been able to live up to his time here, he rubbed off on me in several ways and was a great mentor.

All in all, serial has been a great servant to the league and an even better servant to Dragons FFC, in which he notched up the 150th Dragons game in Season 37, earning him the esteemed Dragons FFC Life Membership.

Let's give it up to serial_thrilla, congrats mate!
