Blaze Storm Medal ​

The Blaze Storm Medal represents the best year player at the Dragons, i.e the best of the rooks.

freo84 !​

The Purple rookie started S37 off in style with a BOG game in Round 1, racking up 29 disposals and 16 marks, to total a ridiculous 130 DT. Quite the debut. He would go on to have a very solid season overall, playing all 18 games, totalling 834 DT and kicking 15 goals, 11 behinds, showing this rook was a shining light for the future.

While freo84 was a little quieter off the field, with a total of 24 posts for the season, that was still a 1.33 posts per game average showing that while it might have been a bit of a challenge to engage in the weird wonderful wilds that is the SFA (not uncommon), he kept at it, and although there's no metric for this, I can say behind the scenes he always reacted to the game results, both literal reacts and in the team match thread.

freo84 is a good egg and we are happy to award him the Blaze Storm medal.

Hatchy1992 Medal ​

Each season the leading goalkicker at the Dragons is awarded for their fine efforts of slamming the Qooty through the big sticks more than their teammates. The award is named after Hatchy1992, who despite that weird one season experience he had with the Swamprats, is still going strong at the Dragons today. Hatchy, a former Dragons captain, has kicked a career total of 476 goals which has him #1 all time on the Dragons goal kicking list!

Bonz !​

Here's to Bonz! The one and only cat who made the Qootball sing and the scoreboard sizzle this season! With the most Dragon goals (73 goals, 41 behinds) kicked for Season 37, Bonz has certainly left his mark on the field... and let's be real, he always knows how to leave us purring for more.

Whether it's from the left, the right, or straight between the posts, Bonz knows how to find the right spots with precision... and let’s just say, he's very skilled at making things rise when it matters most.

We can’t help but wonder what other surprises Bonz has in store for us—this feline’s talents are endless. Keep scoring, Bonz—both on and off the field.

Here's to more goals, more fire, and more of what makes you... you.

Pie 4 Life Medal ​

It is now time to present the Pie 4 Life Medal, named after naturally, the great man Pie 4 Life. The Pie 4 Life Medal is effectively the best clubperson, a member of the team that consistently shows up, gives their all and represents all the best qualities of a Qooty player and person donning the Dragons FFC guernsey; someone you would happily go to war with, but equally settle down for a pint with at Crocodile Drunkees.

The winner this season definitely embodies all the above, having not long ago even been a skipper of this great club, then handed it off to go into "holiday mode" (while still being super active, no less) and once again in Season 37 proved himself a massive force, averaging 59.67 posts per match and hitting a total of 1074 posts across the season, hitting the ton several times and generally bringing his usual wit and ability to get under the opposition's skin while at the same time equally being adept at being friendly to friend and foe alike. He was also more than handy on the Qooty field, being a reliable defender and even nabbing a spot as a back pocket in the All-SFA team.

All in all, he's always given his all and done the best he can for Dragons FFC and this season was no exception. Give it up for serial_thrilla!

Coach Andonis’s MVP ​

Here we come to the Coach's MVP award. Our coach this season was Andonis1997, who has remained coach for a couple seasons now despite some questionable substitutions on the Qooty field, but he got us to finals!

For those somehow unfamiliar: Each week Coach gives a 3-2-1 vote on the best performers for the Dragons from the sim output, with matchup results, opposition performance and raw statistics all considered. The player with the most votes come the end of the season is awarded the Coach’s MVP Award.

To probably everyone's huge surprise...

Greenery !​

As the leaderboards would attest, skipper Greenery's decision to play himself in the guts proved fruitful and he demonstrated himself as a powerful midfield presence, racking up several BOGs throughout the season and generally placing well in the votes.

Amassing 363 disposals, 97 tackles and kicking 15 goals, 10 behinds across 18 games, Greenery would also accure a total of 1440 DT, the most at the club.

In the end, Greenery would run out a decisive winner in the Season 37 MVP. Congratulations Greenery!​
