Can't believe people think this is based on this years form alone. You have to have at least some credits in the bank before playing 4 decent games to start the season.

Here here, you should not get picked for state of origin for a few good games. Any yes, before anyone says it i know its not state of origin but it's still the same standard. Leuenberger getting picked is an absolute mystery, as for Leon davis, Mark Williams should be shot. Alwyn davey does not deserve a spot either.

I rate Leuy no doubt but to pick a guy who has done not much yet is very poor..not to mention he is yet to get a NAB nomination. Ryder has been in awesome form for Essendon and can play in the backline and up forward. Very weird decision. I didn't expect Ryder to make the final team but it would be nice for him to get some recognition!

Cox & Charman will be a deadly duo in the ruck. Leuenberger probably won't make the final cut but it's impressive for this once in a generation ruckman to make the 40 at such a young age!

Very glad the Dees only have one player in the game so that we can focus on the season proper... I'd hate to cop an injury that would put our flag chances in doubt...

Seriously though, as if you don't want your players playing in this game. It is a great experience for them, and the slight chance of injury is not much greater than the risk of doing some sort of damage during training. Great for a player's confidence.
