hopefully this is the wake up call he needed. Didnt watch him closely last year, do you think its been his attitude this season, a change in role or just poor form?
Mostly laziness.
Last year he was training with Goodwin and really putting in the hard yards. We all saw the results he achieved.
This year he hasn't done the "optional" bike sessions with Charlie Walsh and he's 4kg heavier than his 2009 playing weight. The lack of results have been equally obvious for all to see.

im sitting inside the top 5500 or so, still alive in the eliminator which is suprising seeing I have been pulling a doughnut in my forward line for a few weeks and will again this week.
Hendo is the more AFL ready.
I don't see either of them getting a game.
Talia maybe towards the end of the season, as craig generally likes to get a look at the new kids before the season is out.

I didn't get fo see the game ove rrhe weekend can anyone give me the heads up on what happened with Davis? Just a slow game for him or injured
concussed/suspected broken collar bone, which is now confirmed to be not broken, so will miss 1 week with soreness, and hopefully back the following because they'll need him. Bock should be back next week, but pretty sure they'll be looking to have a 3rd tall defender as well (so Sellar or Talia may get an opportunity, unless they just plan to settle with Stevens).

Erm... while sprinting back with the flight of a high ball to take the mark, he ran into an onrushing brick wall with "Aaron Sandilands" written on it, and bounced off his shoulder and into the turf hard. Will miss a week with shoulder soreness and concussion, but no break or dislocation.
Is Tippett injured or just playing out of position?
I'm interested because I'm wondering if he will be likely to be rested towards the back end of the year.

He's played only two games, the last two, permanently in the forward line.
The first, he played ok by creating contests and bringing the ball to ground for our other forwards, the second the ball never really went to him all that often, and when it did he only held onto it a few times. Neither is much of a fantasy points spinner.
I'm sure he's likely to play the rest of the season barring injury or a severe dip in form, but I wouldn't be keeping him in DT or SC.
Thanks for that. As weird as this sounds I'm quite seriously considering trading him in, to cover Hille over the next couple of weeks and provide solid cover for both forwards and rucks for the rest of the year (DP with Lobbe).
But if he were likely to be rested later in the year then this is not such a great idea obviously. I still believe that Tippett is a good player and can come good.

Well, I was talking about him as a forward, but if you want him in your ruck line and can't afford a super premium upgrade then it's not a bad idea. He's not likely to be rested, no.

Maguire will be out for up to 4 weeks(tendonitis of the foot), plus he's not really a keeper... (and also taking into account his injury-proned career), i'd say upgrade Maguire to a premium.

i was thinking that but my backline already has hodge goddard engright gilbee and waters i have jerome webberley as cover and ryan o keefe is rock bottom for price this week as well would have just enough to get him in for phil davis so i am contemplating that as well
^only if you're willing to take Webberley's scores for the next 4 weeks (or for however long because Knights had tendonitis of the foot as well and he's still not back, plus i worry about Maguire actually returning to what his current form is, especially based on his history of being injury prone)... and depending on who your forward cover is for Davis (if he was on your field).
got a dilemma, I am still alive in the eliminator but have been hit with injuries this week and I am low on trades. The guy I am playing in my league is a hack, so I could easily win that with a couple players down, but then I would be sacrificing my eliminator, not sure whether I should take a bad week or make yet another couple of trades (Hille and Goose) and leave myself with only 4 trades left.
^depends on what you care more about - eliminator or overall rank...and also depends on the team your eliminator opponent has.
i have both those players... and i have backup (Webberley/Silvagni and Trengove) for both, but considering Maguire is not a keeper/premium, i will upgrade him now, rather than wait 4-5 weeks for him to return and increase in price before trading. his BE is still low, but he has tendonitis (foot), which we've seen with Chris Knights can be a bit unpredictable at times...but whether he returns in 4-5 weeks or not, he's already made $184,000, so with a bit of extra cash, he can be upgraded straight to premium.
