Can see Pris and Davey come into the side. It's the best opportunity for Prismall to show the footy world if he really can play at this level.
I think Davey adds more than Colyer and the stage is set for Ryder and Hille to utterly dominate a game with richmonds small defense.
Be a tight game as usual but bombers will shake em by the second quarter. Missing some gun players and it's going to be a great judge of the depth and future on field leaders of the club

Just remember - Tigers have an A GRADE ELITE MIDFIELD.

Don't fool yourself with watching matches & noting that Deledio & Martin rarely go near a centre clearance & that Daniel Jackson is often their only other competitor in there outside Cotch. Don't look at the number of clearances they give away to the other side (worst differential in the league) because they lack the sort of aggots that Lonergan & Howlett specialise in & the exact reason we are driving upwards.

Just don't.

Can't believe how many Essendon supporters are going onto the Tigers board and talking down our chances. Can't work out if they are genuinely worried or of they are just talking it down just in case we get upset.

Richmond are not much chop at all. There game reminds me a bit of us last year. Their defence is puss and if they start turning the ball over through the midfield we will score plenty of goals. We have far too much firepower up forward and our mids will give us first use of the pill.

If they play out of their skins and we are off our game they might get close. I douby that will happen. Should win by 20-30 without Watson, Hocking and Hurley. 40-60 if they were playing.

The first half will be a challenge, but if we can hold them off we will win.

Richmond have so far beaten North, Brisbane and Freo, and drawn with St Kilda. With the exception of Freo, these are all bottom-eight teams with no real chance this season.

Even with our injury list, Essendon should easily win this.

don't know why everyone's worried, we should win EASILY, regardless of whos out, were getting fresh legs through the middle, watson looked like he needed the rest anyway, good opportunity for prismall/stanton to prove themselves. bombers by 50+

Looking forward to a tiger win against a vfl midfield this week and no hurley up forward :D

Big chance it will be over by quarter time. Tigers are slow starters and if we get away like we did against the Suns, they will be stomped! Honestly, if they get within 40 points of us I'll be disappointed. We'll be to good in the clearances with our rucks dominating and our forwards to tall for them to counter. Easy win coming up. :D

We're bound to play a good first quarter soon enough

The reason being is that they have plenty of pace in their inside mids. If Watson isn't there to dominate the clearances they will run away from clearances many times. Their defense is perfect for Hurley to rip apart. That wont be covered if Ryder doesn't go ape shit.

Without Dempsey, Winderlich and Davey we have gone from a pace advantage to disadvantage.

I can't see who will stop Reiwolt or Nahas.

We certainly have a good chance to win this game but I'd have them as slight favourite.

In much the same way that I'd back us in to beat Collingwood if Cloke, Shaw, Toovey, Swan and Pendlebury were missing.

Agree, I watched your game against the Dockers and really enjoyed it. Tigers got smashed in the middle by Sandilands (like most teams) and you worked the ball around from your defense well. Who knows what might happen, but still can't see us losing.

I'll rephrase - did nothing when the game was 'on'. Contest was over when Murphy goalled halfway through the third; and I think Riewoldt kicked the next one against the flow then 2 in the last. (And only credited with 1 assist in the stats I looked at?)

Yeah he's dangerous, but if you keep it reasonably tight, you can restrict the ball getting in that deep and guys like Hardingham are specialising in kliling the high delivery he thrives on.

EDIT - and I'm pretty sure he kicked 6 or 7 the last couple of times. No fun. Be much happier with Hooker on him, much better fit than Pears.

prepare to be dissapointed

I like it how Richmond's midfield is not as good as your's yet we ''only'' have Cotchin, Grigg, Martin and Deledio all rotating through, All which would be in the top 15 disposals in the comp, which mind you is 4 more then what your team will have playing. If you choose to tag Cotchin that is fine, Just be pre-paired for Dustin Martin to tear you a new one. Jack Riewoldt has been out of form and still kicking 4-5 goals a game lately, Oh and Nahas has got 30 and 31 possies the last 2 weeks. D/w Richmond we are rabble.
If our Back-line hold's up, I think we could win.

Typical Tiger arrogance back after three wins, two narrow ones over fellow cellar dwellers North Melbourne & Brisbane (in Melbourne) & over the Dockers (who are just flying at the moment, especially when they have to play at the MCG).

Let's put these knobs back in their place... again. Go have a read of the first James Hird book (after his facial injury) and you'll read first hand about his great fondness for the rabble that is Richmond Football Club. Injuries or not, won't be letting this one slip without a very good performance.

The way most of them are talking at the moment, on Bigfooty and in person, we shouldn't even bother rocking up on Saturday Night. You think after nearly three decades of complete rubbish, they would of learnt a thing or two... clearly giving them too much credit.

I have no doubt that if we had Watson/Hocking and Winderlich to rotate through our midfield we would currently destroy the tigers. However this weekend should be interesting. Tigers midfield will probably be the best in the comp in 2-3 years.

Sounds like a top 4 team to me.
