Clarke's JS guys? How far away is goose Maguire?

Some of us on here thought he'd be back this week. It was supposed to be a 2-4 week injury which would have meant he'd be back this week. Clarke is going to be our CHB for the next 10 years hopefully but if Goose is fit he'll likely come back in. I think Goose will be back next week but I'm not 100% confident on that.

I saw Goose what looked like a knee/leg brae outside the SCG last weekend, so he might still be a bit away. Clarke will probably be out when Maguire does come back.

Hard to say, but I reckon Voss will want to have his best, most experienced side on the park over the next few weeks....probably won't include Doc if the past is a guide, but injuries may change that.

I'd perhaps look for him to come in if we continue to lose, and they decide the get more games into the younger guys....

Yeo seems to be Doc's main competitor at the moment for a best 22 spot. Yeo is still young, and it is possible that he might get a rest to manage his load, and that is where Doc would come into the team. Other than that, it's too hard to tell.

Will need to play a few ressies games after missing so much footy. Anything before the bye would be a bonus, if i was the match committee, i'd be aiming at first game back after the bye with ressie games until then. Match fitness aside, he will need the games just for touch.

played against the swans last week as well but as it was in sydney no real idea how he went. NEAFL had a bye this week due to the state games. Will play sometime this year but I would imagine it will be later in the year. After that long out it takes a while to get back into the swing of footy.

There is some talk Lester was icing his groin when he came off.

To me, he just looked spent and it was a like for like replacement. However, I can't discount the possibility that he was also injured.

We'll find out tomorrow, I guess.

Was the like for like to get Black into the game, seemed to be iced up sitting on the bench, but it could have been more precautionary than anything else. Upon saying that, they might give him a rest this week to make way for Black back in the middle full time. Lester has been great in the middle, but it is a big step up to play midfield at senior level, i think his senior games will be managed this year.

option 1: trade in majak daw, and luke hodge ($286k spare for next week)
option 2: In: Hodge and Roughhead (not much cash left)

I really want Roughhead in my team now the hawks run gets real easy, and am wondering if Daw will preform at patterson stadium so he may be affordable still next week?

Option 2, both players are in good form. Personally I'm still hesitant of Majak Daw even though I have him in my side (not on the field).

Should I trade out Knights for Kerridge who goes onto the bench and then trade Terlich for Ibbotson?

I'd go option 2 out of those lots. Daw will have good games but will have stinkers as well. Not every team's as vulnerable to someone like him as the Bulldogs.

A bit hard to say. We don't really know what role Staker will play.

I would think that Mayes' age and extended run in the seniors (plus he looked leg weary at times last week) make him a bit more susceptible to being the sub. Other names being thrown around on this board are Bewick and Staker himself.
