Guys, what's the deal with Brennan. Played every game, then got injured, missed a week, and now two weeks in the reserves. Out of favour?

All I know is that he's no Jesse Smith.

He'll be back after the bye and should pump out some huge scores in the second half of the year.

Docherty has played 3 consecutive games and has worn the green vest for the last 2. Theory busted.

Tendency, not compulsory. More often that not, the sub gets dropped.

If you don't want people offering assistance that you don't want to hear, probably should've made that clear so we could've saved our time.

Doc wasn't dropped, so you would think would start this game. Isn't healthy to be the sub that many weeks in a row, he would be better off playing full games in the 2nds. Harwood might end up with the vest this week, Doc might get the red vest though. I think going from green to red to full games is a good stepping stone for a player who you want to get senior games into.

Hanley as a forward?

Surely Vossy will bring him down back/wing again?

TIA,

Not necessarily. We have a bit of depth when it comes to half back flankers but our half forwards are a bit inconsistent. Hanley is a good option further forward - quick, a decent mark, evasive, great below his knees, excellent vision and a good kick. It also then gives the opportunity for Mayes, Docherty, Harwood, Yeo, Golby to play those pocket, flanker and defensive half wing roles.

Hanley does spend time in the middle too and up on a wing. He isn't a stay at home forward but it is clear that Voss prefers to have him forward of the footy more of the time.

Considering Stef Martin as a back-up ruck in Ultimate Footy. How many reserves games has he played and how has he looked? Is he a walk up start when fit or is he behind Staker/Lisle/Longer?

Why is Rocky playing fwd? One of the breakout midfielders of 2011 and it seems he has stagnated the past couple of seasons due to the move up forward.

He didn't start up forward, hence the good scores in early rounds, then I traded him when he looked to be doing the same thing he did last year....our forward line is lacking in class, hence the move.

He will likely stay forward, and likely score erratically for the rest of the year, I'd look to trading him when you can....

Thanks Paul. I've noticed that as well and was just curious why they've moved him forward again, just seems like a waste to me.

With Maloney and Lester taking more midfield time and getting the hard ball, and Blacky there also, I am not sure where Rockys best position is now, and perhaps neither is the club.

There has even been speculation with playing him off the half back line....

He can rack them up when in the middle, thats for sure, and I'd like to see him play more there, but not sure if he will consistently.

I think with Black out this week, Rocky should be moving back into the midfield (hopefully)

I tend to make (at least) one incredibly dumb decision in SC each year. Last year, I lost a prelim final by forgetting to update my team before lock out, leaving a few zeros on the field and scoring players on the bench.

All year I've just put the (c) on Ablett and been done with it. I don't have the time or the dedication to worry about this loophole stuff. This week, Ablett is out and so Pendlebury is my next best scorer. The sensible thing to do would be to put the (c) next to him and be done with it. Nope - this is the week I decide to use the captaincy loophole. For some reason, I put the (c) next to Jobe and the (vc) next to Pendlebury. I watch Friday night's game when Pendlebury dominates and think "hmmm, must remember to put the (c) back next to Ablett tomorrow morning". I forget. That's OK, it isn't as though Jobe is a bad option as captain. Sure, he may not score 150 like Pendles but it isn't the end of the world - a solid 110 will probably do. Jobe injured - I get a grand total of 24 from my captain and proceed to wonder why I bother trying when I'm only going to balls things up at some point anyway.

(For the record, I would have lost both my league games anyway!)

Looks like a huge scoring round for most people. Anyone crack 2400/2500?

I managed to get 2,579, but really spewing that I left a hurting Nic Nat in the side when Nicholls has been playing incredibly well as of late.
