Shiel from all reports is the best young talent at the club, with the semi bye between there first and second game he will play round 2, if he doesn't line up round one. He is a dead set magnet, so i'm taking the risk.

That was my thinking too, throws a spanner in the works for me. May have to look at Weedon but the green vest worries me and I hate having players from the team I support

Dickson is right there with Weedon but Im not too keen on Hall. I do think Weedon could step it up big time and I like the pressure he puts on in our forward line which fits in with our forward press but the green vest scares the shit out of me and I dont think Masten will be wearing it as often thi year as last

It will probably be him or Stevens in the vest. There are other candidates like Hams, Swift .etc.

To replace him im thinking either weedon or k.stevens, i know one will end up being the vest man like gaff last year. I think it will be stevens who gets the vest, but his scoring potential is higher than weedons. Bloody more decisions! I was set with couch!

People seem really keen on Koby Stevens but you must bear in mind that he is not even a probable first 21. He's an outside shot at this stage and if he gets named for Round 1 (which is unlikely imo), the green vest beckons.
This, he isn't a high accumulator, will no doubt cop a few vests, not really worth it

I don't think you need be too worried about that. You will more than likely trade out half of your cash cows by that time anyway so the fact that you have too many now won't be particularly relevant.

Rookies are seriously doing my head in at the moment.
Was set on a lot of them, but so many injuries, apart from Bugg, Ellis, Devon Smith, who are we all sold on? After all this is what makes or breaks a side IMO.
If i opt for Coniglio i have to completely restructure my premiums and it's not something i want to do.
Are we sold on these rookies?

Especially with the patial lock out this weekend, if you are banking on certain rookies being named next week and then having to restrcuture your team to get the more expensive rookies in.

Interesting that you don't rate Wingard, I would of thought Port would be keen to get as many games into him as they can.
Bugg = sold
Morris = Not enough room for me but he is a very solid option. I do think he could be struggling to get in the team though as he will be behind ellis
C Smith = Similiar to morris only less reliable in my mind and a couple k more.
Shiel = Im keeping him even if he doesn't play round 1 is one of their most talented should play all games when fit and score decently, may have a slow start.
Cameron = Im iffy on
Hall - Very iffy on
Mcdonald = i am sold he will play games in the midfield and as a starting mid its hard to not score atleast 60 a game. Plenty of money to be made.
Dickson = Doesn't feel like a guarantee at all but he's holding his place in my team atm due to lack of options.
Paine = not sold
Weedon = Red alert vest wearer. Massive fitness issues too so unlikely to rack up. May still struggle to make our team consistently even with Lecras and nicoski out. Choose at your peril, will frustrate as much as he excites.
TBH im thinking the same way. I don't think he will rack up too much even if he does play full game time. To pay that extra 50k you have gotta be certain on them. Coniglio is a much safer option imo.
