According to fanfooty his BE is 102, and according to footywire it's 97. Not sure who to believe - where did you get 87 from?
If it is 87 then I will prob bring him in this weekend, if it's 102 or 97 I might wait another week depending on what other trades I need to do this week.

ps if I were you I would offload Betts or Pods - I think Brown might have it in him to start to pull some better scores.
FFGenie has his BE at 87. Either way, I don't expect his price to drop much if at all this week as I reckon he'll score 90+ against the Bombers under the roof.

You'd think Brown should score decent from here after his 5 week rest, but then again if he starts having issues with his groin or abdomen again then you reckon they'd pull the plug pretty quickly with their season shot.

I currentley have 5 trades left and i am Looking at doing one of the following trades this week before finals

OPTION 1
Jordan Gysberts>>>>89,500 Rookie
James Podsiadly>>>>Lance Franklin

OPTION 2
James Podsiadly>>>>Nick Riewoldt

What do people think? Should i go with option 1 or 2?

any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Option 2 - absolute no brainer IMO (nothing wrong with Buddy of course, but if you can do it one trade and get Riewoldt who is (hopefully) underpriced, then go for it).

any ideas on what to do with brent stanton? Can pretty much only afford a straight swap, as I need to keep 2 emergency trades. What are peoples thoughts on Burgoyne? Anyone else priced around 360k?

Not in my version

If it's not correct then now I wonder which other data is also not accurate?

Thinking of upgrading to Gilbert in the first week of finals. My query is with his BE. It's showing as 136 yet that seems quite low considering he got 39 last week. if he gets about 100 this week I assume his BE would again be high the following week so I may be better off waiting til week 2 of finals.

Oh and my FFGenie shows 97 aswell for Nick

Question is, will the Pods -> Riewoldt trade be worth a double trade for those of us who dont have the cash?

Only got 5 trades left so will leave me with 3 for finals, 2 if I decide to go ahead and grab Gram next week (for Kennelly)...

The double trade is my option for Riewoldt too. Nobody who I wanna trade out will straight swap for him.

With only 4 trades left do

a. I ride Pods through

b. double trade to upgrade Mayne to Riewoldt

This would use the Mcneil trick effectively having Pods as first reserve for Mids and Forwards

Just posted this in the 'how many trades for finals thread' but probably makes more sense in here...

I have 3 trades with 117,700 in the bank.

Guaranteed top 2 spot in a league with money up for grabs.

My team is as follows:
Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Duffield, Enright, Waters, Shaw (webberley, strijk)

Swan, Montagna, Ablett, Bartel, Boyd, Martin (Moles, Gysberts)

Sandilands, Cox (Warnock, lobbe)

Pavlich, Didak, Gia, ROK, Rockcliff, Franklin, Brown (Pods, Jarrad Grant)

I am leaning towards making two risky trades this week:

Rockcliff to N. Riewoldt

Martin to Chappy

Unfortunately can't afford to do a straight swap for martin to chappy. Could just do martin to hayes and keep two trades up my sleeve, but would like the flexibility of having chappy in the midfield and then being able to swap with pav/ROK/didak.

I don't have to pull the trigger this week as I am guaranteed a top 2 finish, but if rockcliff and martin don't hit their BE and riewoldt and Chappy do, there is no much scope to manouvre (around 10k).

Interested to hear other people's thoughts.

Did a quick snapshot of my trades this year.

I averaged 2161 in the first 8 weeks.

I've averaged 2142 for the last 8 weeks.

Given I've used 15 trades - I was probably better off not trading at all

Pretty easy to attribute this to maybe.

Ablett, Carrazzo, Scotland, Enright. They scored heaps worse second half I'd say.

Plus the fact you picked uninjured players at the beginning meaning you were more likely to have your best 22 on field. You hold for injuries later on and play reserves more especially if you have already used some trades and can't burn for a 1 or 2 week injury

If you wanna go for it feel free to.

However I think Shaw and Martin are the two that need upgrading. I would be trying to upgrade those two and do 1 other downgrade.(Like downgrade Pods, Bring Chappy into Mids (also helping to cover with DPP)
Then upgrading Shaw as best you can. I can't see Lake resting if you can afford him.

It's tough cos that would mean missing out on Riewoldt.

Your call of course.

Thanks for the useful input.

My two biggest competitors in the league both have the exact same defence as me, so although upgrading Shaw could be an advantage, I'm more of the view that I'm not losing anything by having him. But yeah it is still a potential option. Thanks.

I was going to trade pods a couple of weeks ago, but now I think i'll hold onto him for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, he has dropped a fair bit in the last few weeks and his currency isn't great and also, I expect to make the GF and with Geelong playing West Coast at skilled in Rnd 22, he could score big.

I guess i could upgrade hayes to martin and then just hold onto the last 2 and bring in either riwodlt or chappy in the finals.

tough choice.

Or perhaps you are being kind - and i've been rubbish at trading!

I think I almost nailed my starting squad - just been average with the trades

Here's my underperforming team, looking for as much help with it as I can get!

Backs: Hodge, Gilbert, Enright, Carrazzo, Waters, Hargrave, HShaw (Kenelly, Strijk)

Mids: Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Gibbs, Dal Santo, Mitchell (Martin, Shuey)

Rucks: Sandi, Jolly (Warnock, Lobbe)

Fwds: Goodes, Pav, ROK, Gia, Rioli, Pods, Brown (PDavis, Griffiths)

I have 5 trades and 85K in the kitty.
Thinking about Pods to Riewoldt this week - would love anyone to talk me into it or out of it (or offer any other suggestions!)
Thanks in advance!

Posted this before but got ignored...any help please!
Also thought of maybe going Waters (or any other defender on my field) > Scotland
Thoughts?

have you considered upgrading your forward line with one of didak/chapman/roo?

if your against that then yes keep an eye on waters/shaw and trade one of them before finals time.

Cheers, am considering the Pods > Riewoldt trade this week. Will leave me with 4 trades and only 40K left, which makes me a bit nervous with all the potential 'resting' to come, but may just have to ride my luck!

I'm looking at offloading Gyssie too. Was looking at Jarryd Blair, but I am a bit unsure about his JS.

I've already got Blair, I think he'll get squeezed out of the side soon.

Just saw some highlights of Hardingham from Ess, what are his chances of getting a regular gig for the rest of the year?
