telsor: Keep clutching at those straws....

But it might be prudent for you to book some time with your shrink around the end of the H&A when the announcement is made.

Me: Righto, can I borrow your unicorn to fly there?

Elton Johns Wig: No wonder you think Dusty is a chance to go to North, you believe in unicorns......

Seriously, where do they find these people?

The funniest of those is the "it's not much after tax and agents fees"

Yeah, plenty of ways to minimise tax

Mind sharing those with the rest of us sport.

Sure thing champ

Keep in mind I haven't seen his portfolio, and it could be governed by what other income producing activities he operates.

This is just the basic stuff

Negative gearing (the big one, he may have a portfolio if he gets in quickly)
Business investments in a tax effective partnership
Deductions (Agent Fees)
Union Dues
Donations
Income Protection insurance (if not paid by the club)

Now we get into structuring

Although we are taking a longer leash approach with the Tigers supporters coming into this thread, continued trolling and back and forth won't be tolerated past a certain point.

This is another warning (as mentioned by SB22) that if you must quote a post from the Richmond board, which is fine, as they're posting like finger painting infants, please remove the tag from the quote. It isn't against BF rules to quote posts from other boards, but it is to tag that poster.

Make sure your quote tags are "[ quote=nameofposter]" instead of "[ quote=nameofposter; postextranumbers]".

Thanks guys. Continue onwards.

I think I'll steer clear of quoting from other boards because I have no idea what you are talking about FG. But I guess that's why you've got your user name.

Horace, thank you for your honesty.

You can claim $300 worth of clothing before you need a receipt. Don't forget to claim for washing your clothes. These things will be covered by North but Dusty could just claim them anyway. That's at least $400 saved. He can also claim a work laptop and mobile because interacting with the fans is counted as work in his profession. He probably can't claim much last financial year because he already had one foot out of richmond so he basically told your supporters to **** off.

He could buy 50+ acres, run a few cows and carefully construct his 5 year AFL deal around being a primary producer... (plus or minus a few other details not relevant to this thread)

I don't post a lot and am not here to troll, I love reading the bigfooty banter for many years and monitor it daily especially the most recent dusty threads. Dusty is an enigmatic player which would be painful to see him leave the tigers hence the interest. tiger71 does hold a lot of weight on the Richmond board, he has proven time and again to have insider knowledge and rarely does he get it wrong. generally speaking at the times of his posts they are spot on! things can change obviously in football so nothing is done until its done so i'm not discounting dusty leaving but I feel a little more relieved that tiger71 is saying he is staying more than what anyone else is putting out there.

Just curious
What other news, trades, etc. has he been correct about?

just off the top of my head

most recently was the resigning of Rioli

and last trade period basically got everything right
caddy, prestia and Nankervis in. not only did he know about these guys coming in but knew the whats fors and what nots and what the club was thinking behind each trade.

Rioli re-siging was a no brainer... Prestia even my dogs knew he was going to the tigers, Caddy was last minute trade so well done for getting that right.

Wouldn't it be a bigger boost for the Tigers to re-sign and announce this week?
Assuming that Tiger71 is correct and Richmond already know he's staying.

I mean they still have 4 hard games and need to lock in top 4.
