Blues amazing young list ..2018

Kruz 29 12 games played injured
Murphy 31 13 games played inj
Ed 29 21 games
Wright 29 21 games
Simmo 34 21 games
Thomas 31 20 games
Jones 28 17
Vets still doing all the heavy lifting .

Oh and Lobbe the back up to Kruz....29
Our problem is the bottom 10 players who averaged the most games for us this year are 18 to 20yo. We need more players around 23-27yo. Those old players are in the team to give us some experience, so we only lose by 10 goals instead of 20.

7 years is too much for me personally.. and I think he's a perfect fit for our list.
He'd be nearly earning 2mill more taking a contract with the blues or the saints. Doubt we'd get him.

Carlton securing him could open us up to get Setterfield though, which would be nice.
What are the saints and blues offering?

Also just note your sig is out of date

I saw numbers by tom browne showing blues @ 1m p/a, saints @ 1.3. Hawks/dons @ 800k. He's the one who first spoke about shiel leaving months ago so I take abit of stock in that.

Good point. Cripps is a gun

Thanks I saw some numbers thrown around in this thread but wasn't sure where they came from.

I'm alright with $1m pa for Shiel considering the 20% rise in TPP last year

Yeah, with how your list is at the moment a fair chunk on one player aint a big deal. Especially if you front load. Point is 200k-500k extra over 7 years is big money to turn down.

So going to love it when these Hawthorn idiots are proved wrong and they miss out on Shiel and Wingard

7 years on a million + for a bloke with banged up shoulders.

He's all yours pal.

There are some naive people here ...

He’s likely already made up his mind on which club he wants to join and is now doing the Chris Judd “2007 due diligence tour” by going through the motions until he can officially announce.
He can officially announce now though? GWS's season is over and there's no suggestion that he's going to Collingwood or West Coast.

Why play games when he can just get on with it?

To me, this confirms he's going to the Hawks.

Tom Browne has already stated as much, saying we are his club of choice.

Another thing altogether whether or not GWS would be prepared to broker a deal with us though.....They'd no doubt prefer him to go to one of the Blues or Saints.

Be interesting to see if one of their 'god-father' offers can turn his head or not though....His manager is only doing his due diligence.
