You do know the difference between 2017 and 2018 was where he was played, right? 2017 showed what he could do.

But privately, I think EFC would be less worried about inside mids than most here think. Stringer when he played in the middle had amongst our highest clearance to minutes ratio at the club. Getting his engine improved will be a big focus of preseason I suspect.

I'm surprised you have any faith left in what the media says after following this story over the last week. McClure was probably amongst the worst in terms of landing his guess on a different outcome every day. If McClure says it was the lowest offer , its just as likely to be the highest given his recent record.

If that is sarcasm , and you think Shiel can't play inside, I suggest you look at his 2017 stats. Top 10 player for average clearances. 3rd in the competition that year for average centre clearances. This is unfortunately the perfect get for Essendon.
