If this draft continues to go at the pace it is going for the next couple of weeks I think we should try gg's idea and all log on at the same time at some stage and just do all the picks, otherwise we'll only be halfway through the draft when the season starts.

I can do this tuesday or wednesday night 8-12. After this week i may not be able to though. But i usually check the forum 2 or 3 times a day anyway, so i wouldn't be keeping us waiting too long.

Well, how 'bout you put forward a suggestion then that we can get everyone to come on to?
Even if its 8 - 10 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, we would knock off a huge chunk that we need.

Just how long is this draft supposed to take?
I dont mind giving up a night every now and then, but theres no way im going to be able to give up 8 hours within a day of each other. There are other things ive got to do.

I'd say do one night this week 2-3 hours. If everyone is on at that time seriously we should get through a crap load of rounds.

If you do 4 hrs on one night, and you stick to 2mins a draft pick, you can do about 100 picks.
You'd only need to do 1 of these every week and you'll make it in time....but you should still log in every day because chances are people will not take 2 mins to make a pick.

Thought i'd start up this thread, rather then continue the discussion in the expressions of interest thread. Seems a bit more appropriate, and also helps to seperate the discussion of the two leagues.

Fact is he will possibly score 20 points a week from 4 positions, maybe only the top 5 RBs will be capable of that, i like it, it is gutsy and IMO makes him the favourite atm

Being able to Start 4 QBs is silly though. The flex should have been limited to TE,WR and RBs.
Also, what JDs strat does is force guys to get average QBs early OR leave some teams with shithouse QBs and making them rely on WRs and RBs for all 3 flex positions.
Good strat which I was too scared to employ.

I actually didn't realise we could play more than one until after I drafted Bush (thought I better check the scoring rules after drafting him).

i agree the rule is stupid, i think the 3 OP spots should have been made to comprise of 3 different positions, or at the minimum 2, but this cant be changed now (or 'tweaked' as gg is saying)
oh, and once Mordikai is on the clock i'll sms him, he is at work, so may not make his pick, but ill tell him who has been taken
and amazing speed today guys! so much for the concerns gg!

Yeh, JD has forced mine (and maybe some others hand), into taking a QB. I was probably going to wait until the next round but could not take the chance of a viable QB remaining.

But the RB pool is thinning for definate staters now so time to use the speculative picks soon (although redragger just snared to good rooks).
