Strategy e-AFL - Help pick the WB team each round!

Hello everyone.

You may or may not have noticed the E AFL threads on the main board and other team boards.

With the unfortunate but necessary postponement of the AFL season for at least 60 days, it's been decided that we will run a simulated AFL season using the Qooty program created by the legendary Mobbs.
If you are familiar with the Sweet FA, it operaties in the same way. If not, then please follow the link to the main board thread by SFA league Admin Ant Bear:

To get an idea.

Basically Qooty is a random football simulator. What we are going to do is use real player names and simulate the 17 round AFL season. Each team board will create a named team for someone to submit.
Each week there will be 2 rounds, complete with match threads for banter against opposition fans. At this stage it seems these threads will just be in the main board but that may change.
At the end, there will be a Brownlow Medallist and Coleman Medallist as well as a Norm Smith medallist just like a real season.

I have volunteered to be the coach of the WB side. All this means is that I will be the one submitting our team sheet per game but I will be looking to you all to help me out with what changes we think need to be made or should be made.

Think about the "I love Bevo BUT" thread. Now we could be the Bevo that you want to see. Decide on a better balanced sheet. Alternatively we can all decide on the most random side ever for all that mattered. It is completely up to the collective to engage in how they want.

For round 1 we will just use the named teams (minus two from the bench, as Qooty only needs 20 players) to get things kick started. It will take place on Sunday. The Dogs are away to Port Adelaide!

I could along with summary of stats.

I think I can adapt the systems to the picked team that's based on everyone's opinion. Definitely more Bevo. But if I see bad turn overs I might just turn into Rocket.

It’s random. Stats do get recorded. But everyone is equal individually and has fair chance.

Excuse my ignorance but if the games are completely randomised why couldn't we just put Daniel in the ruck, Lynch in for the Bont and Khamis in for Keath? Wouldn't we have the same chance of winning?

Based on last week's performance, I'd drop Cordy for the week and swap him for Trengove. Then if English needs cover in the ruck, Trengove can ruck, Young can go to full back, and English forward. Not really sure about Young in the team at all but not sure who would cover him.

That's correct, you could put anyone on the current list anywhere and have equal chance. So suggestions can be anything. What gets used just depends on the consensus. We want anyone interested to be involved in the team and bantering in match threads.

Aeronaut did well! Clearly my suggestion of Daniel to the ruck wasn't necessary. Baz and Croz covered that position well.
