Pick 20# Welcome to the Bulldogs Cooper Hynes

How about give the kid a go. I remember people on here bagging the Bont pick.

If anyone cares to dredge up the corresponding draft threads from 10-11 years ago, it is plainly apparent that 99 percent of us on this forum know 99% of SFA. Me certainly included.

With this in mind, we need to show faith in our selections from the outset. That is why we are called 'supporters.'

Comparisons with Dunkley, only he can kick goals.
This. I’m very surprised it took so many posts to come up with the Dunkley one (Clay Smith - wtf?).

Similar size/shape and moves like a young Dunks. Reads it in the air like a short key forward too (Dunks was the same overhead).

Only thing that stopped Dunks becoming elite was his kicking and this kid has a decent leg.

Cooper could slot in around half forward for a year or two before building the tank and going into the midfield.

Re-do last year's draft and our very own Freijah goes top 10 easily (close enough anyway).

I'm still not sure anyone should be too surprised we basically went for the best available draftee at pick 20.
Hynes can play. Needs to work on his tank but he can play.

His attitude, doggedness, and the way he speaks about himself and footy are a bit like Clay Smith's —a humble, competitive beast who'll take no prisoners.

Don’t see Dunkley at all.

This was the very first reply to the Welcome Josh Dunkley thread

"It's reassuring to know we have so many experts on this board who have already made their minds up about this being a bad pick. I'm sure Dalrymple has learned his lesson already."

Good to see nothing ever changes.
