So am guessing beer is available at the cricket in Sri Lanka? (unlike India, and Australia*)Well,
I'll definitely be getting the Lion on the line ( Or maybe in my gob )
I’ve got friends that have a surfing retreat on the south coast, it looks amazing and they certainly live the life. I’ll get there one day.My wife and I had Sri Lanka on the travel bucket list as one of our next destinations, but then children and Covid came along.
It's nice to hear then positive reports.
I've recently met two Sri Lankan men (separately) who are great people, and both are glowing with national pride despite also acknowledging the frosty political history.
I actually don't know. But I certainly hope so. That's the GCC bar thoughSo am guessing beer is available at the cricket in Sri Lanka? (unlike India, and Australia*)
*i don't count midstrength as beer
It was in Kandy in 2019 - the cheapest beer I've drunk in Sri Lanka surprisingly. So am guessing beer is available at the cricket in Sri Lanka? (unlike India, and Australia*)

I know Galle is predominantly Muslim so wasn't sure, but sounds like there are plenty of bars, so am sure pissheads like myself will be catered for.It was in Kandy in 2019 - the cheapest beer I've drunk in Sri Lanka surprisingly.
Sri Lanka has a dry day about once a month when it's illegal to sell alcohol, so if you're unlucky you might get a day without beer being sold. And I wouldn't be surprised if there are dry stands, so worth looking into.
* If any of the one dayers are in Dambulla, they don't sell beer there, as it's in a no alcohol zone.
am heading that way so you remember the name?I’ve got friends that have a surfing retreat on the south coast, it looks amazing and they certainly live the life. I’ll get there one day.
What's he done?Horrible for Kuhnemann but the odds of Connolly getting a game just increased.
What's he done?
Non spinning hand which is good but would be surprised if he’s on the plane to SL.What's he done?
Poor ****er.Non spinning hand which is good but would be surprised if he’s on the plane to SL.
Yeah horrible timing for him, really unfortunate. Would love to see Corey get the gig but yep they probably replace the left arm orthodox with the right arm leg spin I’d have thought.Poor ****er.
Who do they take instead? Swepson? A third offie in Rocchiccioli?
How has Pope been bowling?Yeah horrible timing for him, really unfortunate. Would love to see Corey get the gig but yep they probably replace the left arm orthodox with the right arm leg spin I’d have thought.
Haven’t been paying much attention to him. Had a couple of innings that went for plenty and bowls too many long hops but has taken a lot of wickets. Haven’t seen any of his shield figures this year which is what really matters, I’d stick with the other two options you mentioned personally. How has Pope been bowling?
He's an interesting bowler. High ceiling if he can put it together. If Boland is really ineffective in test 1 and they turn to 3 spinners, you could use him in short bursts as a strike bowler.Haven’t been paying much attention to him. Went to a aus v Sri Lanka text in Kandy nearly 10 years ago I think. We rocked up every day. $2 to sit in the grand stand behind the bowlers arms or $5 each to have a seat in the box behind those seats. Box was nothing special but had a tv and aircon which got my wife there for the full 5 days lolStill considering going along to this. Wondering if anyone knows whether it's simple enough to buy tickets at the ground, or do you have to buy them in advance?
Yep beer was cheap in Kandy, $2 a can. You could also smoke anywhere in the groundSo am guessing beer is available at the cricket in Sri Lanka? (unlike India, and Australia*)

He's had a couple of good games but also a couple of average ones. How has Pope been bowling?
