Longest NHL game ever. I was ready to watch it at 7AM, then go shopping and then help a mate move.
Just meant we went shopping earlier, listened to the game while moving sh*t.
I'm yet to watch the replay but I've seen highlights and Nate is a bad bad man

Was watching the Bruins / Philly game, and it's a really pretty place to have a hockey game. The Canadians are trying to organise an outdoor game at Lake Louise next season, which is a problem because unlike Tahoe at this time of year it is literally freezing.

• Milera2Betts had a perfect 7 disposals in Rd3. Why is that perfect? Because it takes her to a nice round 2000 career disposals.
• Accuracy is woeful, the Hawks are second worst in the league in goalshooting lead by spearheads Itsmyshow at 53.3% and PhenomenalV1 at 54.5%
• 11kgm is fairing better at 57.1% (get him the ball folks!), but our sharp-shooter is por_please_ya with 4 goals off the wing at 66.7%
• Both Shermy and eth-dog are more miserly than S30, dropping their Goals Against average.

EAST SIDE HAWKS 13.11 (89) lost to West Coast Wonders 23.13 (151) ​

Accuracy will kill this this season, it seemed like may appear to have not made a difference here but considering the Wonders were 16.1 at one stage there was plenty of scoreboard pressure.

We started in the rare position of being win positive at 2-1. The second best player in the league por_please_ya had decided to treat herself:


And in the game this positivity flowed and the conditions were warm. In the first quarter we scored 21 unanswered points, with goals from Itsmyshow and Hate . Our first goal came after 4 minutes:

1 : 3.58 {FB} - The umpire pulls a free from nowhere and off goes Itsmyshow.
1 : 4.03 {FF} - Itsmyshow slowing down the play.
1 : 4.07 {FF} - Surely Itsmyshow wouldn't miss this.
1 : 4.13 {FF} - Itsmyshow kicks it lace out to a lovely lady sitting behind the goals.
East Side Hawks : 1.2.8
West Coast Wonders : 0.0.0

I spoke to that lady afterwards and she said she was going on a date with him after the game.

Then that cursed accuracy struck. We ended the first quarter 10 points ahead but were sitting on 3.5.

The Wonders overtook us and pulled away in the second quarter. Despite goals from Drunkgoliath , Itsmyshow and 11kgm , some ... questionable randomness and the Wonders were ahead by 6 goals at the half, and 7 goals in the third quarter. We scored a few in junk time but it was all a bit subdued and we lost by 62 in the end.

Itsmyshow scored 4.3 and SM had a cracking game with 29 disposals. We also found out that:

- The sim knows how to give a backhanded compliment. I got 6 tackles!

3 : 14.58 {FB} - Chipmunk might be short but no there was no excuse for that tackle by ArdentEagle.

- The sim knows NinjaSwan 's secret:

3 : 13 {rBP} - NinjaSwan must wash his hands in superglue. Astonishing mark.

So we are 2-2 and next up, the reigning Premiers, the Royals. It's great to see a good variety of posters and look forward to a fun thread next week. Enjoy!
