With tradition out of the way, it's good to have an emphatic win on the board in Rd2. It's also good to have a tonne of forward threats with Itsmyshow, PhenomenalV1, TY24, 11kgm, and andleanback all getting amongst it this season.

A win! And in a tough match against the Furies, we powered away in the final quarter.

After our loss against the Roys last week, Agent93 had us on double shifts during training:

As for the game itself, PhenomenalV1 scored the first goal after 40 seconds, backing in his claim that he's a goalkicking campaigner:

1 : .3 {CHF} - The bounce favours Golumless and he is off and running.
1 : .33 {lFP} - Draws a man and then with hands to PhenomenalV1.
1 : .37 {lFP} - This should be a goal to PhenomenalV1.
1 : .4 {lFP} - He's put it through.

The Furies responded taking a three goal lead, until goals from 11kgm and por_please_ya steadied the ship. We needed a strong start the second quarter and rookie andleanback was happy to provide it, Golumless again the chief architect:

2 : 25.01 {C} - Superb ruckwork from Hate.
2 : .03 {rW} - SM wants to get on with proceedings.
2 : .07 {CHF} - Kicks with his non-preferred side.
2 : .1 {CHF} - Man in front will be paid this mark - that's Golumless.
2 : .13 {CHF} - The ball is now with Golumless.
2 : .18 {lHFF} - Quick hands to andleanback.
2 : .22 {lHFF} - andleanback bounces the ball.
2 : .26 {lFP} - andleanback has another.
2 : .28 {lFP} - andleanback touches the ball to the ground.
2 : .33 {lFP} - A snap at goal ....
2 : .34 {lFP} - And andleanback doesn't disappoint us.

The Furies kicked away again but Itsmyshow scored an important goal to bring us back into contention, then andleanback scored his 2nd and 3rd! At half time we were behind by 2 goals.

We needed leadership, and PMBangers and por_please_ya scored goals in the third to bring us ahead. It see-sawed the other way but Itsmyshow and PhenomenalV1 again scored. We were 2 points ahead going into the final quarter and it was going to be a tight one.

In the final quarter, we really came together as a team. Some great moves from Zoops , Drunkgoliath and SM resulted in the Captain bringing us up the ton. And the Furies were broken (I heard them crying). 4 uncontested late goals were the icing on the cake.

So a brilliant team performance against the valiant Furies. The press conference afterwards were all talking about por_please_ya 's 37 disposal, 140 DT performance, as well as PMBangers with 10 tackles but this was one for the whole team to be proud of.

It's the Gumbies next week, and we look to solidify our place in the right half of the table.

A fair win/loss ratio for a Gumby is 45%, except for GWS Goose, in which case its a good ten percent lower.
