dylan joyce has also been listed with bendigo bombers, so he will more than likely not play a game at keilor, plus keilor have papallia, james and a few others with bendigo

haha newbie from the area signs up to BF just let everyone know his mate told him that Kuret will be coming back to G'vale. Good work mate. Feel better?

Expect massive changes at G'vale. Coach, Assistant (playing) Coach, Captain all gone. With no-one being able to get a game on reputation alone anymore!

Spot on Fletch. In the long run, nobody cares whether they pay players or not. Just stop hiding behind the amateur tag. Compete with the rest of us.

They dont pay players because they dont need too. People play amateurs because of the business connections and networking they can achieve through the VAFA that in the long run earn them way more than a few hundred bucks on a saturday.

Playing coaches and playing Ass coaches can be paid in ammos. That is why many teams seem to have a lot of them.

Well you are correct to a degree. Only playing coaches get a bit of coin and it is only a notional amount, around $1500 for the season for memory (correct me if I am wrong). It is why Matthew Robbins quit as coach of Hampton as the amount he was getting as coach didn't allow him to play.

Whats happening with Oak Park? Have they kept both the senior and reserves coach from last season? Any recruits?

Travelling well ATM training starts next week for memory or that's what I've been told. Recruits looking good with Smith Who played a handful at Carlton on board and a few returning namely Barass and Wittmer. Also in talks with Scanlon and Saad from Northcote Paek but unlikely at this stage

Premiers pleased to grab Gribben
Marc McGowan

Goulburn Valley Football League reigning premier Shepparton United has welcomed another former player into the fold.
Josh Gribben is back at Deakin Reserve after a one-year stint at Essendon District Football League club Aberfeldie.

Gribben, 20, will perform back-up ruck duties to interleague big man Clint Edwards as well as provide a marking option in attack.

The apprentice electrician works with United defender Ryan Butler in Melbourne.

Demons coach Marc Quarrell is delighted to add a player of Gribben's talent to his squad.

``Josh is an under-18 player of ours and played seniors in 2009,'' Quarrell said.

``We're excited to have him back because he's a good kid, is a really good size and he'll work really well with Clint Edwards.

``He's a very mobile big fella as well and we'll probably do the same as we did last year (with Edwards) and rotate him between forward and ruck.''
