Ok he might have a good coaching record behind him.I'm not having a crack at him personally ,I am just saying that the way he was carrying on was definately not a great look or way to be leading the club and is definately not the way any of the edfl coaches take there approach

That comment was directed at footyjunky. As I said, his 1/4 and 3/4 addresses were fine and I wasn't around after the game so I can't comment on that.

Credit to the Sharks on the day, they deserved to win and are a far better side than I thought they would be.

I'm already looking forward to the round 2 clash as I thought the first 1/4 was the real measure of how the game could have gone.

Tips for this week. Are the Roys back? not sure but if you don't stop Dulic and Kite Mr Don you probably wont beat them. Haddy have an ok record against the Roys at Martin res and this looms as a danger game. Although I am not convinced they are right back Glenroy should be too good for Haddy and win by 4 sausage rolls. Oakers v Hillside well what the Oakers wouldn't give for a win. Some pundits on here were talking their good players up as world beaters pre season but they haven't fired a shot. Hillside on the other hand are flying, wont have their Jets boys this week and most have probably never even been to JP Fawkner but how can you tip Oak Park? simply u cant. Hillside by 20 points. Burgers v westy huge test for westy to see where they are at. Burgers flying and at home I cant see them getting beaten. Burgers by 5 goals. Tulla v Lakes another cracking match these sides played out a brilliant semi final last year decided by under a kick but Tulla seemed to have improved and Lakes stayed the same. Anyway Tulla to win at home by 15 points. Finally Crazyburn will be rapt because they have the bye and they get to bank 4 precious points.

What a remarkable day of EDFL footy. Northern Saints beats Abers in the biggest upset in the history of the league and in doing so gives hope to all the div 1 clubs hoping to go up to Premier. In Div 2 The Jags beat Moonee Valley and in div 1 Glenroy came back from 48 pts down to win and Tulla came from 30 pts down to win by 30. Some incredible results and it shows the eveness of the comp.

Rd 8 tips. What is going on down at Haddy how does a side lead by 48 and get rolled. Obviously they have some talent. Big game for them this week against the Sharks, the Sharks are also desperate for a win to stay in the 4. Cant see Haddy getting near the Sharks at Sharkpark, Hillside by 25. Oakers v Crazy whoever loses this is in serious relegation trouble, Oakers might have a sniff for it now and at home they will win by 20. Massive 2 weeks coming up for the Roys already 1 game behind the top 4 and they play the top 2 teams. Burgers are flying and I cant see the Roys posing any problems. Fitax, Hudson, Mcmillan and co to make things very tough for Big Lance's men Burgers by 30. Westy v Tulla local rivals Westy have been up and down this year and need to find some consistency, at home they should be hard to beat but Tulla are going too well atm and they will win by 20.

Bloody rapt to see Oak Park had another win for me dear old mate Benny Chapman. Sorry it was at the expense of the Craigieburn lads but there always has to be a winner and a loser.

watched hillside today to see if they are the real deal, pretty disappointing to be honest. Without the jets kids they seem to lack zip and spark. looked like the team was waiting for someone to step up but no one did. Ressie's game nearly got called off too with No.47 from hadfield head butting a hillside player and knocking him out and breaking his nose. Pretty poor form from a division that seemed to be pretty hard and fair over the last few years. The bloke should be kicked out of footy for life and Hadfield should ensure he never plays again. The hillside twos coach sprayed hadfield pretty good after the game in the rooms, rightly so, Footy is for everyone to enjoy.

Also pretty poor form from No. 9 of hillside seniors for an elbow to the smallest guy on the ground eye and breaking his eye socket also annoying the umpire saw the incident and paid a 50 metre penalty but the hadfield player had taken the mark and was in the goal square already. Hadfield player to undergo surgery and not play again this year

hadfield to good for oakpark just couldnt get the goals to finish it off early. 17 behinds to 4
I also watched the game hadfeild had a poor first quarter. but after that came out firing grim your right if hadfeild had a better conversion rate the game would have been over by 3/4 time.
You just never know what your gonna get with hadfeild 2 wins in a row could be the dark horse for a finals spot????

We have a pretty even and competitive competition across the board where anything could really happen. West Coburg and Tulla are pretty much sewn up for top 2 and then its pretty much anyone could end up 3rd and 4th. With the first half of the season done it will be a very interesting second half. Hillside seem to be dropping away as Westy are to up and down. Glenroy have seemed to have gotten the ball rolling with a few key players to still return from injury which will boast there run and carry they have been lacking. Hadfield 2 on the trot finally with a host of key players out and lacking depth still playing good footy and running out 4 quaters.

If you look at there results they have pretty much been in it and could of won it if they just didnt fade away for 1 quater. West Coburg and Taylors Lakes were deserved wins for them but if you look at the rest, tulla they were up at 3 quater time to fall away and tulla piled on the goals. Westy they fell asleep during the 2nd quater and westy kicked 8goals to 1 and still haddy were in it in the last to go down by a couple goals and same agaisnt glenroy coughing up a 7 goal lead at half time for glenroy to kick 8-9goals in the 3rd and steal the win by 2goals or so. If the hawks can manage to play 4 quaters and get the goals on the board they will be very hard to beat

Tips for this week. Well I would have definitely picked OP so I got that wrong, I really thought they were back on track but credit to Haddy on a great win. They are probably safe from relegation now. Oakers in lots of trouble, still a chance to do the Double Drop. WC to continue on their undefeated way, Hillside have been up and down and the Burgers are flying. Can they go through undefeated? Tulla v Roys will be its usual grudge match, Tulla are in good form with Mangan and Kent playing well. Should be a great match up with Dulic on Mangan. Roys need a scalp and cant afford to drop too far from the top 4. Tulla just at home. Crazyburn v Lakes should be a one sided affair Lakes are top 4 material and The Eagles need to win at least 2 more to avoid the drop. It wont be this week Lakes by 40.

I'm hearing no relegation again this year and another team added in 2015 to Div 2 with the Premiers promoted. Nothing concrete however.

Massive game for the Eagles on saturday. Form suggests a comfortable win for TL, but at home the Eagles are a far better side. This will be close and an upset wouldn't surprise. Tulla by 14 and West Coburg by 62 at home.

Yeah good point guys as of this week I think the type for will be
Westcoburg
Tulla
Taylors
Hadfeild
I only say had field because of the way they dominated oak park just needed finish

Don't know that sorry bud. They surely can't leave div 1 at 9 teams.

Only club I could think of it possibly being would be Caroline springs based on geography and div 2 standard... A Plus for edfl is that they have a full set of juniors plus 18's .... Just a guess though
