The question raised by Willow was about EK playing over the points in which I responded accordingly and with 100% facts. I guess my 20mins of research is more than the league did

I don’t know the circumstances surrounding the TL incident in round 4 in where they played at 48 points in there loss to Tulla. But seriously, you surely can’t compare the 2 cases. You do realise EK played well over, and in 1 case was up to 51 points. That’s huge.. Probably the most points a team has put out on the oval in the whole of this country that play under a points system.

My point is EK weren’t the only side that had the Admin stuff up. Can’t understand in all of your posts on this you never mention TL. Another team also playing over so illustrates one of two things
1 you can play over the points and still be an ordinary team
2. Admin challenges are an issue not just for EK.

I agree with you the whole things a mess but surely the EDFL would have fined EK if warranted - simply because they love to raise revenue to support their admin.

Got to move on end of day I still think Tulla and Craigieburn are the best two sides who will play off in GF which will make you nice and happy

My opinions have been made very clear so I wish to not go into it again but if comparing TL and EK I look at it that maybe being 1 point over in 1 game “could” be a blunder by some volunteer but 3 games and a whopping 3 & 4 points over I’m not happy with. A one game was clearly a huge match.
In pre season news, One club was touted as going to struggle and the other had spoken to media about there recruiting and wanting to challenge the top sides. So surely that grabs attention to “keep an eye on things”.

Anyway I agree and hope that Tulla and CB play off in the GF.

Massive win by the EK blokes, who went to sleep for the 2nd & 3rd quarters.

The Grabowski boys were pivotal, along with young Jy King who kicked 3-4 goals and had a real last quarter presence.

Tulla were over 5 goals in front early in the last quarter and should not have lost the match.

I only caught the very end of it as I was leaving the game at EK but I believe he brought up the goal umpiring debacle.

Firstly hats off to EK for kicking the last 7 goals after the game appeared lost. The grabowski’s sniffed half a chance and took it in the last qtr. Tulla appeared rattled by some questionable decisions but teams need to be able to deal with this so no excuses.

However I’ve never seen anything like the performance of the goal umpire at the car park end in the last half. I rarely criticize the umpires as field umpiring local footy is a tough gig but goal umpiring is pretty straight forward.
Just before 3/4 time he ruled 2 clear goals for Tulla as points. Then in the 4th quarter he managed to get in the way of the ball and stop it going over the line. This was ruled a goal, not sure if that’s the correct ruling. I’ll put his mistakes aside but the most staggering part was the goal umpire running onto the field to confront a player who questioned his decision. He then decided to get involved in verbals with crowd and also players after the game.

This comment makes me think you have no idea about football in this division. If you class Hill as a “star” then how do you class players like Bongetti, Castello, Flynn, Lyon, Grabrowski, Coletta, Baravi and co.

A bloody brilliant game today. Tulla won two quarters and EK won two quarters. Tough conditions, gritty football. Tulla could have iced it but poor kicking!!
The last quarter comeback was full of character. Ben Caluzzi dominated it, constantly getting it forward long and fast giving forwards every chance. Big Jhye King competed so well all day and bagged 4. Well done big fella. And for mine Jordy Madden was again so good.
A reversal on round one when EK looked home only for Tulla to storm home. Sets it up real nice for the next one????

Actually I don’t mind that King. He definitely has a crack and only young if I’m correct.
