I heard a disturbing story today that an under 11 practice match between Craigieburn and Moonee Valley was called off due to an all in brawl parents and kids. Anyone on here shed any light?

Would hope not but who knows. What some parents teach there kids as well as often encouraged by coaches and/or runners and at times club boundary umpires never cease to amaze me. To many idiots out there and clubs turning a blind eye and tolerating it.
If true the club should kick out the parents and kids who instigated it even if that means moving on 10-15 people. Some clubs don’t make a stance and tolerate it as like to be known as rough.

Yes I’m sure some of you will say I’m wrong but hey it’s true and fact.
Do you think coaches don’t see it. They do but won’t do anything to pull kids in line. Why are kids as young as 10 (under 11s) fighting?? It’s a bloody joke!! It’s the clubs and coaches at fault but the league should come down hard and kick out all the age group that is found to be at fault. You have 2 or 3 sides kick them all out for min 12months. That will hurt the clubs big time and bring bad publicity that last for years.

Some absolute grubs out in junior footy..

I agree with you about coaches letting bad behavior with players go without pulling them into line , then these types of incidence are always only just around the corner. Idiot coaches and parents determined to WIN .... idiots
In regards to the parents,,, unless the coach's own behavior encourages parents to be aggressive then I don't see how the blame can be on the coach.. I coached junior footy for years and was big on including parents and discussing correct behaviors but there were always one or 2 idiots by the way of yelling out or being too enthusiastic(never physical or confrontational with other parents but there were certainly times when I wouldn't blame opposition parents to confront them). I was ashamed of that and raised it with them and committee who would call them in ,, but at the end of the day some people think they're entitled to yell, scream whatever they want at the footy so they will never listen. Sad part is in my experience their kids were perfect team members,, so kicking out the parents only resulted in the child being punished.

How did Sunb Kangaroos vs Sharks end up

Sharks always in control and won by 4 goals I think. Sunbury were pretty good and will kill Div2. Was a good hitout for both sides. Sharks defended really well and hard to score against. The new look side is quicker and applies more pressure across the ground. If they stay healthy who knows how they go.
Baddely for the Roos will kick a ton if his knee holds up.
P.s now I know why they call it Windside. Man it was windy and damn cold. They could do with some outdoor heaters and protection from the wind. Good to see new change rooms getting built though.

Thanks CatnDog.
Based on what you saw on the weekend do you see us talking about Sunbury Kangaroos in this Div1 thread come the end of the season? Or is there anyone who can beat them in Div2?

Swans I heard they played Westmeadows not Moonee Valley the other week but there was trouble as per mentioned. More trouble this weekend as well I hear. Absolute disgraceful from what I heard and could have got worse.

When will this this club change there behaviour and kick people out the door for good. What I heard is very disturbing and some parents and more importantly officials should never be allowed near a junior sports game.

Can I ask what happened this weekend??
I saw a hillside supporter run on to the ground on Sunday why don’t you put that up??

Which game are you referring to Burner as you might want to do your research on this, before it backfires on you...
All I will say is I heard a concerned mother entered the arena.
