Not sure it’s that big a loss for Roxy with regards to moving forward imo. Both players are at the end of there careers and a drop in grade will suit them and prolong there senior footy and give them a bit of extra $$. Good pick up for Taylor’s lakes through there friendship with the new coach. Good luck to both players as been good servants in the EDFL especially Patane.
Thought that Hadfield might have tried to get them back but Taylor’s win.

It’s amazing to see Rogers still playing great footy. He’d have to be near 40. I remember him being a very competent forward when he first played at Airport West about 10 years ago.

What a roller coaster of emotions.

When the rain, thunder, and lightning came West Coburg was done. Rupo had got the 33-point margin and only looked like increasing it. Unfortunately, the extra break gave them plenty of time to get a 2nd wind and they played the crap weather better than we did.

It's hard not to get excited about this team though. When they played the game the way they needed to, West Coburg had no answer. Hopefully, another year will see them more as an accepted club in the EDFL too.

Key injuries hurt today also, but 5th in this comp is a fantastic effort.

My wife was so upset she left. I stayed hoping we might still win, but the way the game was going, it was doubtful.

I was at Westmeadows until half way through the second quarter. When the rain came I was at DFO but it was so loud, it did make me wonder what on earth would have happened. It'll be interesting to see the video of it.

Unfortunately a very unlucky motorist would have returned to the car park after the game to find their windscreen severely cracked after a great goal by Tulla early in the second quarter. The ball went over the barrier but then fell sharply down right onto the car which was parked at the southern end of the ground. Very unlucky and something I haven't seen happen for a long time. I think everyone was surprised by just how much damage it did.

Tulla played very well and are getting close to full strength with the return of some important players. Fingers crossed they can give APW a run for their money next week. I'll be interstate so I'll have to just look at the scores on my phone and rely on people here to tell me what happened.
