After Hillside clearing gun kids to them, one being Keighton Matofai Forbes just release him and do the right thing. It's not like they won't sign someone else or the joint will have to shut the doors.

Tulla will be safe and could do damage if McKernan does come.
Bottom two will be Rupo and KP.
Well documented about Rupos losses. KP lost a lot as well, still owe money on contracts from last year, and have struggled on recruiting. Bottom 2 is already locked.

McKernan has signed with Strathmore, but they still picked some good players albeit well past prime. 5th spot at best for mine, but think they miss. Have Craigieburn lost many ? Added a couple, they are in the finals mix too.
Add Oak Park to the bottom 3. They won’t be much stronger, if at all, than the 2 you mention. Think that Rupo is too far gone and not a lot of hope being pinned on the new coach, mostly the opposite in fact.
KP had a a lot of players that stepped up and played good football last season, and with a decent home ground advantage I see them winning enough to survive the drop.

I was also referring to other players who have contracted and are either recruits or planning to leave clubs in this league…
1 hillside player springs to mind in particular + a handful at other clubs who signed and have now gone and signed elsewhere

If a player is contracted and the contract is done correctly the club can hold the player for the length of the contract.
It’s usually reserved for knob coaches or managers who think the world revolves around them and their club. If a player doesn’t want to play with you, I don’t see much value in holding them.

Is there anyone that can give more detail as to why this mass exodus is happening? Purely just the coach leaving? Has to be more to this. Will they fill 2 sides next year? Rupo twos finished dead last this year so nothing to fill these departures. Must be starting to get very concerning for the EDFL

Isn’t it a financial issue? something happen between Netball and Football I heard.
No more money and coach and players walk. Might be wrong but only what I have been told.
Either way , club must be unhappy as they looked to be on the way up .
