Deserved the win

Didn’t give up even when behind in the final quarter

Burnside wanted it more all day. They controlled the game, played it the way they wanted it played. If ferraro and Taleb are controlled they don’t seem to have any other avenue to goal. Always vulnerable with big guys up against them in their back line. No improvement in last year. Can’t put it down to a one off. Burnside just better.

Shocking conditions at Lakeside. The fog used the ball better going forward and we couldn't get one with the breeze in the 3rd. Still anyone's flag

Wow
What an arm wrestle at lakeside oval
Northern all over Roxy in the first half but the 3rd quarter roxys big guns turned the game around then lost it with undisciplined acts
Ghee who makes the 4 now

I note that as the season goes on, the game reviews are slowly dying off.

I was able to head down to ES vs. NS @ Home last weekend and it's fair to say, it was a cracking game of football!

NS were without Ferraro, but No.22 stood up in his absence. In what was a tight contest, the run of ES looked to expose NS at times. Going into the last, ES were up by a goal and looked to have control of the game. For most of the last quarter, ES were dominant but were unable to capitalise. Some late skill errors in the back half allowed NS back into the game. To their credit, the sniff was all they needed to take full control of the last 10 minutes.

The experience of the mature men was glaring as the ES boys tried to hold on to the game instead of winning it. The main difference between the teams was the accurate goal kicking of NS.

One of the best games I've seen in this division for a while. NS look the real deal.

anything from the NS V MV game?

MV seemed to have dominated the whole game.

ES were lucky to be in it till the end. ES had about 6 goals from Roxy's lack of discipline.

Any issues to report from the ES v Roxy game?? I cop it on here for mentioning they are undisciplined..

Did say early season MV for premier and its starting to look good..

Apparently Keilor Park been very proactive in getting a senior team up for next season. Hearing a good coach has been sounded out and will create a buzz around this division..

ES were apprently under investigation for a king hit behind play the week before..
50’s were questionable and umpiring was mediocre both ways..
Jameson Campbell did his Achilles early on, so East lacked a target up forward.
