Going to be very interesting is the obvious statement for this division this week. Northern saints bring in Rocky Ferraro and Nick Bruno for some fire power amongst others while Roxy bring name some quality as well but interesting they've named Hamza who is according to the edfl website still suspended, and haven't named Saad. Moonee Valley bing in Jordy Faba who kicked 8 against East Sunbury last time he played them while East Sunbury seem pretty settled with Bernacki back and Williams with some match fitness under his belt.
Good luck to all.

Well said eye. A quick text message is all it would take. I was talking more about some young child leaving behind some gear and when contacted the response was totally disgusting. These parents pay good money for these jumpers etc and it’s a shame they are not handed back in some manner. What I heard made me so angry. They should have went up there on a Thursday night or Friday night and confronted this person.
Who knows maybe other clubs have done this but these clubs should be named and shamed or at least the member who did this..
We had an under 11 leave a jumper at Airport West this season.... got it back the next week cut in two. No idea if it was from AW or the away teams afterwards but that's disgraceful. Kid was shattered his playing jumper had been treated like that

Hammer was suspended in the ES game but the was a mix up with accepting the set penalty. Didn't play the week after because of it so he's missed the 2 weeks

Surely your pulling our leg Rox. What did they say as why would they hand it back like that? Very unlike APW if this is true. I think they are one of the better clubs with great people in charge..

Geeze tell you what everyone on here was quick to write off e.s this week and back m.v as flag fav and look what happened. Who knows what will happen in the weeks to follow. One thing is for certain after watching the game at keilor reserve today. Wouldnt be quick to write of east

Roxy in the granny reserves and seniors.
Roxy cant stack the senior side
Northern saints win agents east sunbry
Northern saints win over roxy

Roxy were going to stack their 1’s side with 2’s players if the 2’s didn’t make the GF but because they did you think NS will roll them ? Because they can’t stack their side with 2’s players ? Am I reading this right ?

2 big results yesterday
Anyone that went got a summary of either game

I gotta say, I may have to eat humble pie. From what I saw yesterday Easts look primed. I thought the loss of their coach and then the two one point losses woulld be too much for them this year but this young group have proven something else. The last quarter was awesome. Disappointed for MV as I thought they were primed for promtion. Good u19’s, good coach, Good senior list. Looks like I underestimated Easts. They will go in as favourites against Northern nex5 week. From what I hear Northern are cooked. Lots of injury and problems between coaches and coaches and committee, some unhappy players, plus their list is not that young besides a couple of players. Looks like they’ve lost the plot at the wrong end of the year. Roxy v easts in GF I feel, I always felt it would be Saints V MV.

Looks like the eveness of the season came to the fore yesterday with both 'favourites' losing.

I was at the ES vs. MV game and sat behind the ES coaches box and overheard a lot of the messages coming on and off the ground. A lot of positivity and for a team thats never played a final before, a lot of confidence in the game plan and the coaches message. Was my first real exposure to Glenn Hopkins' coaching and his experience definitely was on display.

In terms of the game, it looked like Moonee Valley were a little one dimensional in their outnumber at the contest and move the ball forward game plan. I guess they assumed that their bigger bodies would overwhelm the younger team, but I don't think I saw a young ES kid take a backward step all day. ES did not play to the conditions and looked to move, switch and chip the ball around as much as possible and executed well under very wet conditions. Sometime ES overpossesed the football and did not capitalise on their control of the game. MV were good at quickly slingshootting the ball down the other end and stayed within arms reach for most of the game with their efficiency once inside their forward 50. Whilst the scoreboard was pretty tight for 3/4, I don't think it really reflected the game where ES controlled all of the movement.

The last quarter, the spirit of the young ES kids really shone. Cree and Bernacki were running head first into every contest. Ogilvie was running riot with his outside dash and disposal. Braddy controlled the ruck taps. The backline held up strong and ES were finally able to put some dominance on the scoreboard. I guess for a lot of these players, this game had been something that they were waiting a long time for. Now that the belief is there (or back), it is going to be a cracking game against Northern Saints next week. I've heard that ES got through without any injuries and might still have a few to come back in including Jam Campbell, Ant Sammut and a few others. Interesting times ahead.

Not saying APW did it and credit them for telling us they found it. Just saying someone did that to a junior jumper which is shit. It's a kid's jumper ffs, whoever found it there jumped l just needs to alert the club

Any report on the Roxy v NS game ?

Any report on the Roxy v NS game ?
Roxy too good dominated every aspect of the game played the conditions perfectly

Saints discipline was poor which was costly on top of very inaccurate kicking for goal

A few junk time goals flattering the saints in the end

Roxy or ES to be worse off in Div 1 then Jacana can only really see NS being slightly competitive if they went up would also be interesting to see how many players stay at Roxy if they Win/Go up cant think of many senior players in that team able to hack it at a higher level Elliot/Capuano probably the only small few

This is a very uneducated post. Yeah, NS have been to premier before and thus seem the most suited at the next level but I'm sure both RP and ES would be quite competitive at the higher level.

RP have a balance of young and experienced and have talent such as Short, both Ferrelys, Elliot, Capa, Micallef etc who would be good at the next level. Agree that they would have to move on some of the old boys in Merhi, Colaidis, Saad and Hamza if they went up but have great depth and are in my opinion the team most primed to move up to Div 1.

As for ES, Bernacki, Cree, Braddy, Ogilvie, Brne, Williams and Campbell are all top end players in my opinion. I reckon that they would be able to attract some other local players from Sunbury clubs if they weren't playing in Div 2.

Surely after being in Roxys rooms after the game Saturday your vendetta against your old club is over

Both would struggle to win games in div1. As for Roxy I doubt Ferris tumay
Colaidis, saad and Mckinnon will go on next year

I was talking to Felicity from Fawkner last night and she did say there was trouble between coach and committee at Northern. I'd say to the guys down there to have a look what happened at Craigieburn when they failed to appoint a coach early enough. You'd think winning a MP would be enough alone to reappoint the bloke.
