Another dagger in the heart at Northern Saints. Army Abdulwahed signing at Glenroy. His 3rd div 2 club in 3 years. Will take a few with him too by all reports. Northern paying the price for mistreating their players, not paying them and expecting them to play for nothing all whilst the coach is first to get his cash. Can almost guarantee a bottom 3 finish now.

It’s definitely a tough situation for Northern Saints. Losing Abdulwahed and possibly more players could really hurt their chances this season. If the management doesn’t address the issues with player treatment and payment, it’s hard to see how they can turn things around. The coaching staff will need to step up and find a way to motivate the remaining players, but it’s a big challenge. What do you think their best move is from here?

Hope that either Glenroy or Hadfield over commit, don’t pay their players and then make promises in 12 months to those players that they either do or don’t honour.

Too many sour grapes running around this league. Have an issue call the club. What a disgraceful comment and an insult to the hard working committee that makes sure they do the utmost with there players week in week out. Some players spreading this shit should take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror ASAP.

Culturally how can they recruit? No one wants to go play there. The juniors look quite well run. Got to start again like Haddy, Roxy, Glenroy to some extent have done. Promoting your juniors and having them become senior players and establishing a strong culture is the only way.

They may have to start again. But it may mean losing more established players who yearn for success. It will be hard to keep some of their better players as I’m hearing clubs from all grades chasing a few with significant $$ offers. You can only remain loyal for so long until the lure of bigger $$ come chasing you.
Unfortuantely they do need to recruit because you just cannot rely on juniors. That’s a complete furphy.
You seem to have a personal gripe with the club, including players and coaches? Have they done something to you?

days of their first game of year.Unless

Relax a bit bud. Northern have a handful of players leaving. They made finals this year and last year without any push big recruits and signings like other clubs feel the need to do every october and november.
The twos have won the last two flags.
As much as you'd love to spread the news of a club falling apart I'm sorry to tell you not one "crisis" meeting has been spoken about!
Who the hell would even call that? "Come in boys we need to have a CRISIS meeting because some boys are signing else where to play c grade footy".
Go watch home and away if you need some drama .

I believe the coach is the main issue and may not be suited for the role. Despite signing new players, they haven’t seen any improvements and have remained in the same position for a long time. I think a change is needed, but the presidenc team aren't bold enough to make it happen. As long as he’s in charge, I don’t believe the Northern Saints seniors will win anything, but at least their reserves are bringing home flags.
