Can anyone from Moonee Valley tell us how they went with their meeting Monday night to stay at Ormond Park? From all reports the council want to kick them off to build more soccer grounds.

hopefully then at least they get a new home ground. that ground is in terrible condition.

At this point in time all the council has put forward is they would like to turn Ormond Reserve into a one sport precinct, no decision has been made on whether that will be soccer or footy at this stage.
Not sure what happened on the Monday night meeting though.

Windy hill has been announced as the venue for the big one between MV and EK this weekend. Will be interesting on the back of the last meeting between these two even thou EK will have a considerably stronger side this time round I'm sure

Hey mate "The Big One" is a fair stretch isn't it?

Let's call it they're playing for the "Paper Cup"

A Grand Final is a GRAND FINAL - regardless of the level! The winner will have a foundation to build on for 2013.

LOL , whatever floats your boat mate. But in the real world we all know what this years C Grade GF means...............
Next year it will have more credence when it is a proper competition....
But Good Luck to both teams anyway, I've got nothing against them and Wish them all the best. I am a supporter of what the EDFL has done........ I like your enthusiasm though, keep it up Champ

Obviously your not playing in any of the grand finals this week. I know a number of guys playing this week and they are pumped for the game.

I'm sure the winners will still enjoy drinking out of the paper cup!
It is a mickey mouse cup but no matter what age, level, sport you play in - winning a grand final is winning a grand final, some blokes go through their whole "career" without one.

As for next year if East Sunbury are as bad as it seems and the new side to come in aren't much chop it will be an even worse competition

a premiership is a premiership. still get a cup, still get a flag. looking back in 10 years time will mean the same thing to the anyone that win it in Premier or under 10 div 7...

A flag is a flag my friend, no point trying to take anything away from the teams that earned their spot and the fact that it is a GRAND FINAL.
If you win, you have won a Grand Final.o_O And flag will be raised proudly first home game next year.

The only joke is playing it at Windy Hill. Why on earth wouldn't the Premier matches be held there.

Premier finals start this week, they are staggered. Div1 play 1 more round than Div2 and Premier play 1 more round than Div1, a fair chance most GF's will be held there:thumbsu:

Snax, regardless of a staggered fixture - Premier Semi Finals are this weekend and should take preference over Div 23.

Fair point. I think you will find only GF's being played there, Coburg & Highgate for Semis and Windy Hill for GF's.
