From what I've heard on Elliot he also was at the cannons but struggled with some injury and played 1's at Therry so should be handy in this comp

Yeah , some sad new out of East Keilor. With the rain on the weekend there must've been a hole in the roof , some water got on and leaked on the Premiership Cup, unfortunately it disintegrated....

I am certain East Keilor celebrations at the end of their season were better than those of 9 premier division clubs and 8 division one clubs. Any premiership is a good one to be celebrated. The clubs in division 2 are playing the same game as the higher divisions - the difference in standard is not relevant.

Compared to an AFL or VFL premiership some people might say that the premiership trophy in EDFL premier division is worthless.

I don't think too many people involved with Div 2 clubs care too much about premier division as I'm certain the other way around is also true. Don't get too carried away with premier division - there aren't any champion footballers playing in that division either.

Big job these days from what I see. Virtually have to run a small business. Council wanting their share, EDFL wanting their share, insurance, suppliers and players now wanting their share. It's all about the money now. This is only a generalisation offcourse.

It's more about being able to devote the time to job

Plus the meetings at the edfl head office

Co presidents probably helps decrease the workload these days.... also have a committee that's willing to work hard

Didn't get along with the senior coach... has a bit of work to do regarding fitness but has good body work decent footy brain and still pretty young... plenty to work with but would struggle in a higher division

Is talking with Roxy but not sure how close he is to signing

Both you guys are miles off the mark ,three incorrect comments. President has business commitments, and the other two are not worth even commenting on , it's October ?.
Apparently club had best year in years off the field and with new facilities coming all going well at Round 2 of cricket season

Wilson from Westmeadows also set to sign with the Jags in the coming weeks. Words coming out of westys footy trip last week was he is looking at a playing assistant role.

Hearing burnside is keen to sign 2 or 3 players from both Taylors Lakes and Sydenham. Apparently offered one of the Micallef brothers big coin to make the move.

I have heard over the weekend that Mooney valley still haven't had any takers for president but have recruited 6 players from country league does anyone who know they are ? and is it true that Hadfield are requesting to drop down a division to compete ? I believe this wrong ! they spent a lot off money to win a flag and now are crying poor .

Don't think the EDFL will allow them to drop down a division especially as we are into Nov. I know the WRFL allowed Parkside to drop from div1 to div3 and copped a lot of criticism because of it.

Think Hadfield in big trouble unfortunately. Not sure there is any easy solution with limited juniors and the area is very close to neighboring clubs..

Not sure what they have offered. Must have got themselves a few good sponsors for next season. Hadfield in real trouble, the league have to do something about it, merging with another side maybe?

Thoughts of Jacana signing on too many talls. Cloke, Sanderson, Ribbons + potentially Wilson. Not knowing how many talls are staying on from last year, will they be going in too top heavy.

Northern saints speaking to some West coburg players. Pretty sure there keen to get straight back into div 1.

Don't get too excited about Wilson as he is past his best ... Or even second best on the field. If he remains fit and well he will mentor young players and be a role player at best.
