Massive result for Burnside against KP yesterday.... Is the conversation based on Burnsides progress since joining the EDFL or the demise of KP? Looks like a tough start to the year is only going to get tougher for the KP lads.... I hope they can regroup and bounce back
Really hate to say it but the clubs in shambles players have walked out the club has no money word around this could be keilor parks last year as the club might have to close up shop

Birds, these are rumours going around and you might be right on a few things "but" players have already received some payments and the club is working within its budget. Players will definitely be paid as per agreements.
With regards to shutting up shop the club has a big 40 year reunion coming up this year so I'm guessing something we be raised and then it's up to people to step up for "their" club or let it sink.. Keep in mind they went through a similar thing pre 2012 and only just rallied enough people back..

What I will say from my little knowledge, is that it's nothing to do with the coach as he is still doing his best and committed, but needs some assistance from the club as his a first year coach and also trying to play. It's a big challenge and even harder at a club on there knees. Maybe some people might think otherwise but it's alright to throw stones but try it yourself..

Keep in mind The coach was originally appointed as the assistant, and stepped up late to coach when the original coach pulled out. People forget this!!!

Interesting times ahead.

Roxy v hadfield and valley v jacana massive top 4 shaping games next weekend. Districts sit back and watch or do burnside have a chance?

Turbo think you will find the old coach stepped down early January so think he had plenty of time to get it right
Why have players walked out on the club?
And looking at the results the coach hasn't played the last two weeks what's going on there?

Ok for starters I am a keilor park player

I doubt any other bloke coaching the side this year would achieve more than what we've produced this year for a few reasons

1: there is approximately 10 injuries to automatic senior starters which would decimate any side

2: with those injuries there are quite a few guys playing seniors who would otherwise be reserves players. I'm not criticising those guys but they just aren't 1's quality

3: the guys that have left did so for a few different reasons but for some it has gotten too hard and it was easier to jump ship rather than do the hard yards and dig in for the club and for loui. I'm not saying every guy that has left were weak as piss but some are

absolute garbage! The club is not in debt

while we are short for volunteers on game day most weeks this is not a problem unique to keilor park

Spot on turbo. These problems are nothing to do with loui and anyone who criticises him genuinely has no idea bloke bleeds for the club and his players and fights like a dog for the footy on field.

Yes but that's late in my book as you plan around a coach and then he leaves a few months out from the start of the season. It's not an ideal situation surely.. It's not easy to find a coach at this level in any league, so Loui stepped up not really by choice, as I'm sure he wanted to spend a year learning the caper so kudos to him.
It's easy to criticise people in any position of a footy club let alone a coach of a div2 side. Good people support them through the good and bad times..

It's also not ideal the president resigned but he was involved in getting things in place and was there to help out the club in there hour of need. The title president was bestowed on him only because no one else was really there to do it.. He also has done more for KP than most people over the last few years so anyone criticising him should try and do what he did for the club or shut up. I hope he gets back involved at a club somewhere soon, as is a good footy person to have around in some capacity other than coaching. Would be a good footy manager or something similar..

Now if there is anyone reading this that has been involved at KP for many years NOW is the time to step up and get involved and steer the club back in the right direction. It's your chance..,

Yes true and once again not an ideal situation. I did hear that when KP played Haddy, KP had no timekeeper in the first quarter and were a few goals up into the breeze nearing the 25 min mark and the quarter went for approx 45mins until Haddy kicked enough goals with the breeze. Not sure how true this is but I did hear it and it's quite possible without a timekeeper..

Got information off others that a few players including dilizia were at the districts jacana game and are in strong talks with districts

That is by far the most ridiculous thing you have written on Big Footy, are you now just repeating what other people say whether you know there is any truth behind it or not. I'm sure you wouldn't stand for people dragging Pacco's name through the mud with unsubstantiated heresay.

Relax mate It was just a rumour circulating and more about how bad the situation is at KP with regards to people helping out. It's not against Haddy as it's clear Haddy are a far better side than KP and will go close this year..
Can you confirm on this day that KP had s timekeeper for the first quarter and then I might retract my post, otherwise it's possible as that's why we have a timekeeper from each side..

This just wouldn't happen in premier or even div1.

PS: I apoligize if anyone from Haddy is offended by my post, but this wasn't the intention...

Relax? You've just accused a club volunteer who has given up his time each weekend of blatantly cheating. I think that is a bigger issue than one side not having a timekeeper.

Doesn't say too much about these players does it? Chasing coin, and now coin that comes with hopefully some finals action
How can these players just leave KP surely they would have a contract. Unless the club is on breech how could they possibly get a clearance from KP?

They will probably let them go to save $$$.
Hadfield and CD are fighting for Dilizia and Sarkis just a bonus of fit.
Hope either club has at least $1600 cos they wont play for free!

So, would they go to the club with the deepest pockets? It would be a damn sight harder if a points system would be running

Look, your very touchy on this one.. What can you tell me as your criticising me for this post (even though I did apoligize) but not actually replying with any facts either..
- did KP have a timekeeper for the first quarter?
- was Hadfield kicking with a decent breeze in the first quarter?
- was it close for the majority of the quarter but Hadfield finished with late goals? Qrt time score 4:7 to 1:0
- how long did you think the quarter went for in your opinion?

Let's clear this up and move on..

Let's clear this up and move on..

1. From what I am told KP did not have a time keeper

2. They were kicking with a breeze, which causes balls to be kicked into the cemetery and netball courts which add considerable time on.

3. The game was close for the entire first half not just the first quarter due to a very good effort by both teams

4. Would not have a clue how long the quarter went for.

Not after an apology just confused how you would like me to supply facts when you have started this topic without any yourself, just based purely on a rumour.

Yes they are contracted to my knowledge but not sure of any get out clauses. They have received there 1st part payment before the president left..
KP have no money issues and are working to budget which is similar to last year.. It's the players that want to leave so they will require a clearance.
I do know the Districts have a good relationship with KP through there president Cat so who knows.. I wouldn't be happy clearing them to a rival club in the same division, but if they do clear them it might be an interesting game when they play the return match at KP...

Can KP regroup? If they can't beat East Sunbury then chances are they might not win a game all year which would be the difficult to recover from in the off season..

Dillizia is an absolute gun... I highly doubt he's on $80 a game mate
1600 that's not too bad, what with 10 games to go that's 80 bucks a week each that's affordable!

Surely this is a bit of banter. He means 1600 a week to cover both and don't forget Portelli will want a small slice as well.. Not sure they are demanding this type of money in div2 but whatever they are offered would be the highest at any div2 club.. Not sure many clubs would have this spare cash unless they have injuries to there top players and therefore spare cash in the budget.,
