actually doutta won by a point. till 3/4 time they had kicked 5.11 to 5.1, with Old Ivanoe kicking with a 3-4 goals breeze in the last. Doutta had no less than 6 u18's playing and the majority of them can hold their hands up come round 1.

Doutta will be competitive this year, maybe win half of their games which would have them anywhere from 5-9. I believe the gap from the Greenvales, Keilors and down will not be as severe as the last couple, except in the case of Glenroy if the rumours are true...........

Yeh..you may be right but Doutta only kicked 1 in the last and the other team kicked 4 very quickly.

Anyhow, Doutta still looked pretty good.

I heard that last week Paco signed former Northern Bullant utility David "Porno" James. Can someone at Paco confirm this?

If he stays injury free expect him to be in Paco's best most weeks. I think he played up bush last year and had a cult like following.

Yep he's been training almost every session for the past month or so. 100% signed up, gonna be a good recruit!

Gday Boys , Im from Coburg Districts (Div2 WRFL) i know its late notice and we might have no hope but our practice match this Saturday has been cacelled due to the council not letting us play on the oppositions ground and ours is also out of action ....

So if any clubs want a late notice praccy match this Saturday at your ground or if anyone knows of any other teams in your league or not could you please pm me and let me know ......

Watched my mate play for Doutta on the weekend. Didn't look too bad - much better than last year.

Lost by a goal against a good Ammo side.

Doutta were at full strength and had a couple of giants in the fwd line but still no ruck.

Any reason why the "giants" weren't in the ruck or are they just blonks?

Pretty sure Pacco playing Doutta this Sat at Doutta.

One of the giants was Carey. Would have wasted him in the Ruck.

He goes all right. He was well matched up on a handy CHB.

Few boys from cooper st will be resting, some sore body's.
Barnes is keen on intra-club practice matches.
Should be an interesting game but wouldn't think the vales would get within 8 goals.
Many are saying doutta's for bottom two but the gap is far for these two side's. I think the stars with some luck could finish 4/5 by season's end.....watch this space.

RHOMBUS full strength i don't think so, half dozen missing from the squad would have won if barnes didn't take carey ramsey and jimmy h off at 3 quarter time.
Not that it matters who wins just having a good hit out is important with no injures. Apart from the wind which dropped the skills a little the game was entertaining to watch.

Ruckman are hard to find but look out we have one, might be our best since dan winks. Did your mate play well??? who is he???

i haven't been down yet, but i will be popping down on saturday. has barnes had a hand in more than on field stuff has he? it's good to see a bit of professionalism back at the club.
you seem to know a fair bit about whats going on down there, can you tell me who has come and gone? from the clearance page i know the tankards have gone, hayes, partridge, philpot and caccamo?
Also when you mentioned the players missing you said rutley? which one? pugga? c or andrew, iwas under the impression that they come back to finish off there careers playing in the 2's?
and lastly david rigney, did he play for d.s a few years ago?

Craig rutley "missed last weekend" and younger brother robert are back to the club after a premiership last year at boort.
Rigney is back and flying.

Craig 35 i think, how do you know he hasn't trained??? maybe he was your mate you went to watch last week but didn't play.

Just seen Paco beat Doutta by well over 15 goals. Doutta were missing a number of players. Although I was told Paco were also missing a couple as well.
