How did Reynolds play? How has his form been in the first 3 games?
I hear he is on plenty.

Reynolds was reasonably good. He is very smooth mover though made quite a few skill errors. Will be a solid player.

Told that he is getting same as Doering which would make him amongst highest paid players in league.

From Sat he is not in the same class as Doering.

A grade
Doutta Stars Vs Greenvale by 11points
Avondale Heights Vs West Coburg by 33 points
Aberfeldie Vs Craigieburn by 15 points
Marby Park Vs Strathmore by 39 points
Glenroy Vs Keilor by 200 points

Douttas v. GV - 56 points, even with Kade playing. GV seem to do a number on any clubs threatening to make up ground so I expect a fair statement.

Avondale v WC - 28 points, have not seen WC so I'll go with Heights because they have some gun players.

Aberfeldie v Crazy - 10 points, Ryza BOG.

Marby v Strathmore - 15 points, Mores will match up well on Marby but it will be Marby's midfield that will decide this one.

Glenroy v Keilor - 180 points, Roys better hope for rain...or the mercy rule.

How long has it been since any team has kicked 50 goals in a game??

Im stuck at work but heard Douttas lost by 4 goals to Greenvale and apparantley GV kicked 10 goals in the 1st quarter to Douttas 1 point. So good to see that the boys didnt drop there bundle and obviously fought hard but still only one win on the board and Marby next week which will be another tough one.

Cheers The Drebster

Great win by the two blues today. Some of the best ball movement I have seen at the club in years. Not getting to excited as we have been here before in recent years but some wonderful football from both sides today, looking forward to seeing how we go next week.

Spot on. Great win by the boys today.
Barham & Julian were unstoppable up forward and we ran all over them in the second half. The crowd went bezerk in the last.
We are a much better team than last year. Fitter and more drilled. Can't believe how quickly Crazyburn surrended when we attacked.
Noticed a Edfl caravan that looked straight out of a 1970 Hillbilly show.
Apparantly the commentary is a disgrace.
Some interesting results this week. Glenroy in A Grade is a joke.
Get on the Abers train.

think there alot of regulars on here and lets not get stuck into Glenroy. word over summer was they would struggle and results so far so they will. no need to lay the boots into a club that was without doubt one of the best sides in metro footy in the early 80s. they are not the first club to struggle in A grade and wont be the last. disappointing as it is but every comp from AFl down to EDFL as "easybeat" so least leave it at that.

Hard to believe Marbi are out of the 4 but have played all the top sides and come round 9 think they will be in the 4. has been said before on here but beside glenroy, very even comp this year.

Here we go with all you Abers w***ers. Last week you apparently werent talking yourselves up, this week it has started already. Just **** off already you bunch of pretenders.

Pretty awesome display from the Oakers yesterday. Although Westmeadows had about 6 of their top 10 out I don't think it would have mattered that much. I think Oak Park had a few more gears to shift into if needed.

The one real positive for Westy was the amount of pressure they applied. Not score board obviously but I did catch up with a few very sore Oak Park players after the game who commented on how physical the game was.

Any one who thinks they are a chance at knocking the Oak Park boys off will need to have a pretty good mix of size, pace, skill and agression. They have it all. I do think they will need to recruit if they win it this year as I wouldn't think they would be big enough to compete for a top 4 spot in A Grade but they would certainly be middle of the road at the next level with the present list.

Really good day at J.P yesterday. Past players reunion was fantastic....

Good win by the Abers boys yesterday at home.

The thing we have to remember is that 1 win doesnt make a season and there are still 14 rounds to go.

The next 3 weeks will determine where we are at as a team, having to play west coburg, keilor and greenvale.

On yesterdays game Sam Watson was fantastic down back all day, Fitzpatrick was awesome around the stopages, van reit's second have and in particular last quarter was unbelievable, young hicks in his first game showed he has potential to become a real star player for us and barham kicking 4 for the day was fantastic.

I just hope we can continue on with this and not get ahead of ourselves like previous years.

Are definately the standout side. There will be no side get near them this year.

It might be a premature question, but how many of the guys in the side now will still be there next year if the club goes to back to A Grade?

I think you will find that pretty much all of them will be there as they were all there last year and the new blokes have come on board in the quest to get back up.

Yep. Lot of young guys out there yesterday. 11 home grown so I would think they would have at least a great core going forward. But from what I heard, the average age is only about 25 and most of the imports are mates of locals or of other imports.

All have agreed to stick around. Money talks I know but at least from the conversation from the playes I spoke to pride counted for a lot more and they are still stinging from being relegated.

Yeah Carey played.
Had no impact on the game at all, looked quite out of it.
he left the field during the second term and did not return to the field.
Must be under an injury cloud?
Doutta's could have done with the big Al farage! wouldve been a handy in.

As long as the ball didn't hit the ground Al might of been handy. Can't touch his toes these days BIG AL...............

Watched a bit of the game between Doutta Stars and Greenvale on Saturday. When i arrived to the see the scoreboard at 1/4 time it was a shock to the system. I thought i was caught in a time warp and transported back to the 2008 season.
After listening to the coach in the huddle all the Doutta's faithfull were under no illusions that the boys had not played to instructions in the first 1/4 and they needed to tighten up.
The next 3 1/4s were a lot better and i beleive that with a more disciplined approach and the Captain on the park for longer than one 1/4 this side has the ability to play finals football this year.
A big call considering they are 1 - 3 but have played a few good sides already and they have the run and carry game that can get them there as long as they can improve their disposal through out the year.

I heard John Barnes on the radio saying that Kade is one of the best park footballers running around, what are peoples thoughts on that comment?

I saw him last year get touched up by a guy from Marby park who just ran off him all day,no question he can play seeing that hes at geelong vfl but im interested to read peoples thoughts on him.

If Ayres is out then you guys are a massive chance. Douttas are looking good this year, young Wright from Sunbury sounds like he goes alright.

Theres also a bloke for Marby who plays across half back, reads the play very well and is a thumping kick and likes to take them on.
