Sounds like Monnee Valley are going places again.
Even tho it happened in the Resis, players/blokes down there must have a huge load of respect for Mario Tenace, considering it was his 350th game for the club, great way to celebrate the day.

if that is true the person who kicked should be banned for life from football, that along with spitting the worst things you can do in sports...

yeh might be the case sloth, but I don;t see anyone in the group you mention that will rise to the top and become leaders.

You can see it in young blokes that will be the core of the club and our guys don't seem to be able to make the step.

Yes they need an injection of senior guys to help, but we also need some existing guys to get fit, but their a r s e s and take on the challenge of winning 3 games for the year.

If they don't it will only be harder to get better players to the club next year for any other reaon other than cash. If people on the outside see a club with a determined group of young guys just needing some help, much easier to sign up the better players

this in probably more in response to sloth than you jama.

I dont think you are being realistic. Keilor park are a really good club and over the years have had a strong group of senior players. However keilor park are a tiny club in the scheme of things. They have no supporters and are not a strong junior club. The talented players such as Brown, scifo, barclay, broadbent, misiti and smith can only take you so far i.e. into a grade mid field. However without the big backing punters to provide the cash you are never going to be a real challange.

I know what you mean, you must have a good group of committed and talented kids like the GV, Keilors, douttas and abers. But you also need to money, to bring in the extra talent required. Keilor park doesnt have enough good kids nor does it have the money anymore.

Its evolution, we have seen it with Tulla, moonne vally, hadfield, and glenroy. They dont have the capacity to compete consistantly over a period of time. Keilor park are a great bunch of guys but they are just too small.

There was a similar incident in the Paco v Marby ressies game where a Marby player was kicked in the gonads whilst down and unable to defend himself, once again the umps closed there collective eyes.

Correct Bricksta, l know the EDFL have already banned a junior player from playing Metro Football.
I think it even recommended the player in question to be banned from football Australia Wide to the AFL because they are governing body. :thumbsu:

Have to agree with you there G Ghost, alot of nice people down at Marby land in my opinion i.e G.Parkinson etc! :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Is there any truth in marby singing news players or not?
Or has GA official closed the wallet for the year after spending up big...... :p
No new signings at this stage, but you never no with GA might just have something up his sleeve.

Eagle, if they(Umpires) wont protect the players on the ground they deserve everything they get in my opinion, the football ground is suppose to be safest place in the world......not anymore champ.

Then again l'm sure you would love to go home to your wife/girfriend/mother/father with a broken jaw etc.....Get tough on these so called mad men that hit from behind play....then just maybe other comps will start to respect us. :thumbsu:

i was just wondering how th ex colts players r going for the mores?

If l knew l would tell you, but they are quality players in a quality team in my opinion. :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Fair comment Fan Man,

Everyone knows that B grade in particular is known for it, and more specifically some B grade clubs.

It's about time we cleaned up these perinial cellar dwellars and made B grade what it should be, the second string competition and not a place where duds with no skills can go to find a fight and act like gutless wonders snipping and the like.

Eagle, blokes like you can change that, or have a say at least

In regards to the tribunal, the EDFL tribunal is very soft. There have been many cases where players were offered set penalties and chose to go the the tribunal instead and they end up getting less weeks. A reserves game I saw earlier in the year (involving one of the umpires mentioned previously) saw a player get reported for striking. The player was offered 2 weeks and chose to challenge it. At the tribunal, the player was found guilty of striking yet was given a severe reprimand because he hadn't been reported before. You don't get off a murder charge if you've never been arrested before when you kill someone.

In regards to the votes, it's the goal umpires who vote for the Brad Teal award unless it's U/18 where the fieldies do it.
A Rambo from Keilor tapped M Mickelwaite on the nose against Oak Park and was given the option of 2 weeks and decided to roll the dice , He has played over 300 games and never been reported and considering Choco had no physical evidence from the punch ( Black eye or cut ) Rambo thought he was a fair chance to get it to 1 week or even get off with a reprimand but the tribunal actually told him that because he was found guilty and took up there precious time he would get three weeks. No need to tell you that he was shattered. So this is one instance where the tribunal backed the umpires up.

Funny thing was the tribunal members fronted at umpires training a week before Rambo was reported. The umpires as a group basically told the tribunal members that were there, that the tribunal was soft and were a dis-incentive from reporting players. They used the example I made earlier and said it made a complete mockery of the set penalty system.

Fast forward a week later and Rambo gets 3.

Very stiff in my opinion, A.Rambo well respected by all. :thumbsu:

Enough people on the tribunal board would know that M.Mickelwaite has a history for these so called events...off the top of my head king hit a player up the bush...received 12 weeks for that, 03 hit a young player from Tulla received a couple for that...took the edfl to court and still lost...$7000.00 and missed the grand final in fact, then the most recent event in the night comp against Keilor snipped Longs Brother(Can't remeber his first name) and the player went off the ground.
Funny system if you ask me!

Evan Long(Steve's younger brother), it was as cheap and dirty as they come, behind play to a 17 yo kid without provocation. He was always going to get something the next time Keilor played OP.

Western Region umpires did the night series.

Mores v GV Res one of each charged with stricking each other. Mores man takes the 2 after hearing of the Rambo case. GV man goes to tribunal pleads N Guilty, found guilty 1 week. What the hell is going on up there?
Week before 2 U16 kids got 10 weeks, yes not a typo, 10 weeks for stricking each other. Such huge inconsistancies create no confidence in the system or the umpires.

With the A Rambo report, Choco said it was an open hand and was a reflex action because he was pinching Ram. The umpire (surname Price) told the tribunal that the position he was in he couldn't even see the punch but saw the player holding his head. Explain how Ram gets 3. Anyway time has been served and he's itching to get back into things.

Kade Carey

Can someone please enlighten me, reading sundays Hearld Sun, that Kade kicked 11 goals for Douta's! IS he on a VFL list at all, and has any AFL club showed any promise? IS he 22 or 21
