Spagger looks like there are some good times a head at the sharks. ive had a few good mates play down there over the years and they seem to rate the club highly shouldnt be too much of a worry recruiting players now that you have some financial stability. do you think catania is going to stay next year?

yes robbie, i believe Jarrod will stay with an elevated role into a leadership role. hes our best player and has expressed a desire to stay.

you coming robbie??

Not by what i've been told

Yes we've all heard that North Coburg was interested in Zoo, but from what i hear he has told them he's not interested. more interested in a backseat sort of role, or helping some mates at other clubs out.

could get into a senior role again in 2008 though.

DND, You must be very close to him to know intimate details about confidential contractual payments between him and the Bacchus Marsh FC hierarchy. How come Sunshine didn't hold onto him ?

b grade WRFL dosent compare to the BFL. its great footy up there, i watched all the finals and if ya havent ever seen the BFL league i would suggest going up there to watch!
Jonno has got family members involved at the club apparently. thats why a 20 year old can get 300 a game,

just shows most people on this site know sweet fk all!

J.Horne played for sunshine and won there B&F easily.

He just signed a contract @ Baccas Marsh for $300 a game. i was going to go with him but decided against it due to travel.

A Horne is his brother who was captain of cannons - very very good player and SHOULD get drafted. due to his lack of height once again talent could be wasted !

Wouldn't you think Stathmore would try and get a local boy back with this much ability or will they just wait until their big guns leave and give him the old.... "you played all your juniors with us give something back to the club..."

Isn't his Dad secretary at Strathmore???

Matty Horne also plays at strathmore. i doubt he will be involved this year if hes got 3 sons playing at 3 diff clubs!

Jonathan Horne has gone back to North Sunshine for next season. He felt bad about going there for one season and then leaving. Will probably be at the Marsh 2008 though.

He doesn't have family at Baccush Marsh, just mates from uni. He is a gun and worth $300 a game.

$300 a game is pocket money these days for good footballers. To travel to Bacchus Marsh and play you would want a $150 on top of what you would in Melbourne. So if he is worth $300 id want $450-$500 to travel and play down there.

When you consider the good players in the country take home 500 odd a game and the very good players 600-1400, 300 is not a big big number.

I would be interested to see Strathmoores player paymenst compared to a Yarrawonga or Mooropana or a Seymour. I think alot would be suprised just how much a country side pays for there players.

cheers

I am off to Darwin. I am going up there to sweat out some of the piss I've being drinking.

You might as well come with me because I don't think you will get a game of footy the way you played this season.. How about it?

We may even be able to put a bet on the Cup....

Bacchus Marsh isn't that far away.

In all honesty what do you think player payments would be for a team like Yarrawonga?

I heard a sly rumour that ex werribbe player trent churchill will decide who he will commit to for 2007 and beyond shortly.
my mail is the G / Ghost and his strong werribee / bulldog connection may be enough to lure the ex vfl star -
but main competition is a ex stars coach now wrfl coach &
a/ heights also well in the hunt

would be a massive get for any club ,

bricksta in the absence of the gg who will probably be engaged in deep conversation with a plethora of recuits
, have you heard any whispers on the balcony

also eagle one - can there be truth in the whisper that the purse strings are being loosened out that way for a ex afl player ?

You are an awful footballer, there is no way you deserve more than $50 a game... kidding yourself if you expect more and disgrace if you are getting more.....

Where you playing next year tige? Still staying at Tatura?

Something of intrest was at a sportsman night last night,(for a local primary school) one of the guest speakers was the great Tommy Hafey, and i quote "One of the best games i have seen this year was the Greenvale v Strathmore game played at Greenvale. it was the first time the two teams meet after playing each other in the grand final the year before." Coming from such a well respected person this has to be a huge pat on the back to both the EDFL and all it's clubs. :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
