We can only hope that blokes like Zantuck dont play in our league anyway.

And why exactly is that, are you just blind or do you think everyone that plays in the EDFL is a moral citizen, has had a few drinks when they probably shouldnt have. There would be at least a few blokes at every club who would have worse histories than Ty. He is a quality player and would have added plenty to our comp not that he was ever linked with an EDFL club.

Must agree there JC I think we have all f k d up at some stage

why would Read train monday and wednesday if he wasn't interested. monday night was the first time he had touched a footy since being BOG in the VFL Grand Final last year, so not like he's been training at different clubs holding out for the best offer. and lets face it, chances are the best offer is coming from Strathmore.

as for Zantuck, i find it strange that he would drive all the way up to bendigo to even watch training if he wasn't interested. but if they trained on their homeground the "glitch" that the kangaroo flat committee said was stopping him from signing would have been about an extra $500 to play on the biggest dustbowl in victoria. Schappelle Corby had more grass in her backpack than Kangaroo Flat's ground.

Nope there are blokes running around now that the league would be better with out as well.

My mole at the MAV tells me that there was a meeting yesterday between Sport & Rec managers from all local councils, their legal reps and reps and their legal people from the councils insurance companies to discuss the current water restrictions and prepare a united stand to further restrict football and soccer clubs and their leagues from using the grounds.
They are also apparently preparing for an announcement by Mr Bracks of the introduction of Level 4 water restrictions some time in the next two weeks and Bracks will blame the fact that he has had to sign Howards Murray-Darling water plan and needs to protect the water in the State under his control even further.
And with Level 4 introduced, that would surely put an end to the 2007 football and soccer season.

if any clubs out there are interested in playing a practice match on the following week ends of MARCH 9/10/11 , 16/17/18 , 23/24 , 30/31&APRIL 1
AND ALSO APRIL 6/7/8
The games will be against port colts fc we have won the last two premierships in the wrfl and we would be happy to negotiate venue
PM me your details thanx ROCK

Let's not get carried away!! Even if the level 4 restrictions do come in there is still the chance of rain!! Let's try and be a little optimistic rather than making sensational predictions! We only need a few more rainy days here and there to get the grounds up and running! We should all be doing the rain dance and praying to any god we care to. Don't know how I'd handle no footy season.............

Because he believes that he is still up to playing the (questionably) the highest comp in victoria(apart from AFL) the VFL

he clearly is up to it, his BOG in the big dance last year showed that. he has however mentioned to a number of people that the first bit of fitness work he has done for the summer was last monday night. will be interesting to see if the appears at Mascoma St tonight.
