as i said the other top teams will need to catch strathmore on a bad day & with a little bit of luck it might just be in the grand final and wouldnt that be a shame.
well as weve seen in the last few seasons strathmore hasnt had many bad days and other teams are gunna need to be right on the top of their game on any day to knock them off.

Good to see the heaven's opening up over the weekend. Would have done the grounds wonders.

Anyway, can we post any results of practise matches over the weekend.

Also provide us your thoughts below:

Don't hate SM just think you might need to get out and about and see that there's more to this comp than your boys. For the record, ur predictions may actually come true, a bit of sensibility never hurt anyone though.;) No way that Aberfeldie will get the spoon tho, KP, OP and W Coburg to battle that out.

greenvale played benalla on the weekend up there, what a great ground to play on, were great hosts too, both teams had a few missing, we(greenvale) wound up winning by bout 9 goals. plenty of improvement left too, was awfully tough getting used to all the new boys, but will come with time.

premiers: greenvale(hopefully)
goalkicker: harvey for sure, gun plus they always look for him.
best new recruit: picione, mckee, doering, jorgenson being our most valueable recruit.
best in comp: picione, but if saturday is anything to go by, vinnie randallo is a big show, has a huge engine and plenty of talent.
wooden spoon:sincerely hope its not oak park as they only have to get through this year and they will be fine, but i dont always get what i want.

My team plays Oak Park in a practice match this weekend. How did they go last year and how are they looking this year? Any big name players for them?

hahaha yeh i no i doubt they will all come true i was just stirring em all up. havent bitten yet though

Premiers: Greenvale (Defeating Benalla up there at any given time is very very hard to do, thought i suppose has to be given that 12 or so players from there GF 22 have left the club)

Leading Goalkicker: Kade Carey/ Tim Harvey/James Condos (gun)

Best New Recruit: Eric Kuret (xxoo big boy)

Best in the Comp: Eric Kuret

Wooden Spoon: Oak Park

Looks like the league and/or presidents should be commended for not putting season off unnecessarily. With the recent rain and more predicted this week we should be right for a 21/4 kick off. Anyone with EDFL connections is there any serious talk re SM v GV being on the Sunday?? Makes sense given that OP v Abers isn't quite the match it was a few years ago.........

What is the biggest rivalry now?? I would think maybe Strathmore v Doutta just 2 teams that hate each other.

Also any news on how Craigieburn have been travelling.

Douttas v GV will be big this year you would think. One of the great fights of recent times last year would make it interesting. Any game b/w SM, DS and GV will be worth watching this year.:thumbsu:

Anyone know anything about Craigieburn this year? We (Sunshine) are playing them in a practice match this Sunday at home... will they be a good test? Any information? Thanks.
